KJ NoonsWhen EliteXC announced they had signed Nick Diaz to a new contract earlier this week, it was revealed that Diaz’s next fight would be for the EliteXC 160lb title. At the time no official opponent was named as a challenger.

Today, EliteXC announced via ProElite.com that Diaz will face Karl-James “KJ” Noons, a upcoming kick-boxing and Muay Thai fighter.

Noons has fought twice in EliteXC losing to Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett via TKO and most recently defeating Edson Berto by KO in July. Noons splits his time between his MMA career and a professional boxing career.

I’ve watched both of KJ’s fights and he looks like a decent fighter. He was beating crazy horse before he got caught and the fight with Edson was pretty decent. He has good stand up but I haven’t seen to much of his ground game. I think Diaz will take this one by submission.

Hey doc, who was the guy that beat Cyborg in Bodog about 6 months ago? Man that was a war, and I haven’t heard a word out of any of those guys since, no fights or anything.. Cyborg is good but that guy, can’t remember his name is really underrated, I mean he basically took everything Cyborg had and threw it right back and kept going… you know who that guy is?
