um… did you see the Alexander vs. Jardine fight?

  2. bvrasp says:

Here we go again guys.. another case of the bob marleys:

In what seems to be coming an all-too-common occurrence, another mixed martial artist has been suspended for a positive drug test in California.

The California State Athletic Commission on Wednesday announced that Jermaine Wilson, who lost to Chris Cope at Total Combat’s Nov. 4 event, has tested positive for marijuana.

His suspension runs from the conclusion of the bout on Nov. 4, 2007 through Feb. 2, 2008 and he has been fined $500.

I just finished my latest round of voting, and did something I haven’t done in years … voted Fedor #2 at heavyweight. In light of Randy’s last two fights and the fact that Fedor hasn’t fought a quality opponent in awhile, and just can’t support Fedor as the world’s top heavyweight anymore.

Fedor, if you don’t fight a top-3 fighter within the next year, you don’t deserve a spot in the top 10. Your fights two years ago shouldn’t count much in current rankins if you haven’t fought a top-10 heavyweight latestly. Oh, and 7’2″ cans from Korea don’t count … this is a joke!

  6. PATRICK says:

OK ANDREI SHOULD BE IN FRONT OF MIRKO…HOUSTON SHOULDNT EVEN BE ON THERE.. HOUSTONS MUST BE GROUND GAME TWINS WITH CHEIK KONGO… MARDQUART IS IN THE TOP TEN.. YEA MIDDLE WEIGHT DIVISION IS SO SO WEAK..WELTERWEIGHT LOOKS GOOD… AND ANYONE THINK KJ NOONS SHOULD BE ON THE LIST?

  7. MMAKansas says:

Funny how everyone was riding Houston’s nuts until he lost so badly.. lol

  8. MMAKansas says:

All you Alexander Houston Bandwaggoners (and you all know who you are) showed the DEPTH of knowledge you have in the MMA arena by jumping on that Wagon so quickly and picking against chuteboxe so quickly….

Houston has a BUM RUSH, thats it…. good luck to him against any other real competition at this point, because if he fights anyone else who has ANY sort of ground game, he will lose… lol

Hey, he is a good role model though… hehe

  9. PATRICK says:

I WOULD SAY HOUSTON SUCKS…. BUT HES A GREAT MAN.. GREAT STRIKER JUST NEEDS TO WORK ON THAT KONGO GROUND GAME

ya i didnt know anything about Houstons ground game either, hes still dangerous with his hands tho.. Houston will still be a dangerous fight for anyone, its just that his weakness has been exposed, he definately too old to develop a ground game so his only option is to work on his takedown defense. Seriously, its not like he has a garbage ground game, it looked to me like he had NO ground game at all, which is very bad.

Look at crocop for example, id say hes a much better striker than Houston, and hes been having a tough time lately. If your not well rounded at this point, your not gonna have success in the long run. Houston is a classy guy tho, good role model like you guys mentioned, i got nothing against him, i just didnt believe the hype.. Same with Vera, but atleast Vera has the technique to back it up, just not the execution.

Shows how smart you are.. lol .. I was never on it and I wont get on it because just like Congo Houston’s future is based on the hope he wont ever have to fight another Chuteboxe fighter again, Rua would do the same thing, Wand would do even worse.. lol

I think that is a superior evaluation of the game.. personally, I look at Houston like a man with his weakness exposed, and you know man all the fighters in the LHW division are salivating at the mouth to eat his lunch now…. we all know what your weakness is and we are gonna capitalize on it baby .. lol.. whats Mirko’s problem? Distance and timing.. he was used to a small ring now he has a huge Octagon… the Octagon is almost 3 times the size of a ring so Mirko has to literally CHASE his opponents around and while so they can counter strike him to death especially if they are taller and have and kicking / punching reach advantage like Gonzaga or Congo.. if he can ever adjust he will be fine but by time he becomes accustomed it might be the end of a career.
