Kimbo vs Tank Booked for February

According to Sam Caplan, lead writer for ProElite.com, the Kimbo Slice vs Tank Abbott fight has been signed for the next EliteXC show on Showtime this February 16 in Miami, Florida.

Slice and Abbott had originally been slated to face off last October on a Cage Fury Fighting Championships card. The CFFC had a few major sponsors drop out and the whole card was canceled at the last minute. It was after that cancelation that the EliteXC was able to sign Slice to a multi-fight deal.

The February 16 card will also feature fighters Kyle Nike, Scott Smith, Antonio Silva and James Thompson.

I would have thought Sapp would be a better unskilled slugger to face off with Kimbo. Tank is almost 40 man, and he doesnt take care of himself like Randy does, im surprised that guys still fighting. I think he lost like 8 of his last 10 fights, he must be making some nice bank because he should have hung the gloves up years ago.

    Yeah…. Go Silva… lol

BREAKOUT FIGHTER OF 2008…. drum roll please.. seriously…

THIAGO SILVA…. I could see him easily eclipsing Wandy even in a year or two… and even Shogun if he doesn’t get serious about training … he looks like crap right now mostly because he was unable to train for 3 months until like 2 weeks ago, but still… looks like he has a LOOOONG way to go to get in shape for his Liddell fight and its probably a BAD TIME to move to the USA, get married, suffer a major upset loss in your UFC debut, annnnnd open your own gym and leave your training camp which led you to where your at… all that said good luck to Shogun I love him and hope he wins… :)

I don’t think Randy Couture’s film will do especially well….. his name is definately Legend at this point, but it will fade more and more.. mainstream audiences wont give a crap about him in a year if he doesn’t fight on a grandeur scale..

  7. PATRICK says:

well i hate to brake it to ya *******… but gotta go with tank
