LAME would be a way to describe recent UFC PPV cards and main events. The upcoming PPV has a phenominal main event with Silva vs Hendo, but the undercard matches are complete ****, and Arlovski is in a dark match.

Why is it lame? Besides Saku and Royce being included in the list of names. Japanese fans dig those old ******** duking it out though. I for one am extremely happy to see this coming into existence. With them working with M1 we could see a true rival to the UFC on the international level.

As for Royce and Saku, im a much bigger Saku fan, but i think hes taken alot of damage over the years, thats why he cant seem to beat Royce these days.
In their prime, he used to beat that azzz!! lol. Saku doestn even have one good leg to stand on these days, but hes still a Legend and one of the best fighters of all time in my book.

Pride sold their crappy junk to the UFC… their fighters, (most of them) have lost their debuts….. now they are restructuring under a different name to avoid suit, and they are bringing BACK some of their old fighters with different investors from the West and Europe. While I like a UFC counterweight, I think its benign to do this to ZUFFA, so soon after liquidating Pride, which cost the UFC 4o something million and for what? A bunch of Pride highlight tape???????? Basically they ripped the UFC off…. and now Cro Cop takes his beaten azz there like he is still the greatest… whatever.. JUICER.. must be … he got whipped by CHEICK CONGO people!? How quick memories fade …. I have very little respect for him at this point, he has been handled in the UFC and couldn’t hack it so off he goes to some new org that is basically PRIDE II with a different name… and no accountability on juicing ect.. Disappointing…

as much as cro cop got handled in the ufc i still hate to see him go. He did bring excitement to fights and i think the reason he lost to Congo was because of the TWO knees to the groin. But ya I agree with Patrick this is lame for a number of reasons
#1-Its called Dream
#2-Its a bunch of washed up fighters that didnt or wouldnt make it in the ufc
#3- Its called Dream
#4 Its a pathetic attempt to rival the ufc which will ultimately fail
#5 no belt means anything except for the ufc belt
#6 The only fighters that still matter that arent with ufc are Fedor and Gomi, but not so much gomi consedering how horrendus he looked in his last fight and maybe filho

When I hear dream it makes me think of those creepy sailor moon type pornos. Its like having to watch pokeman only with real people. I hate japanese art and this name rekindles my displeasure towards it. So F*UCK this new corporation and I hope that new reality show with Fedor gets cancelled because it is just a rip off the ultimate fighter which is going downhill and because it is delaying Fedors fight with Randy if that ever happens. If it does happen I hope its not with Dream.

Who cares where these fighters fight, I am personally excited for this new promotion, more organizations = more fights , and there is nothing wrong with a little bit of competition. And if dream can sign Barnett and maybe even AA, and who knows maybe even big timmy who knows this could be the start of a greaet thing.
There is loads of talent out there in the world that is not signed with the UFC.
Who cares about Orgs, just sit back and enjoy the fights.
every fighter wants to say there the best and every fan wants to see who is the best right? the ONLY way we can have this happen is to remove the boundaries that keep fighter fighting in one or two orgs only. if all fighters start demanding non-exclusive contracts (and i mean ALL fighters) the orgs will have no choice but to go along with it and then the fighters will be able to decide who they fight, untill then we will have to guess and debate about if Fedor could beat Randy or Frank Shamrock could beat Anderson Silva.

Gary Shaw is involved with ProElite who is the parent company of EliteXC. ProElite does not own Showtime, they just have a partnership with them and have co-promoted several shows together.
