Greg Savage at Sherdog.com is reporting that undefeated Brazilian Thiago Silva will fight Antonio Mendes at UFC 84 this May.

Thiago Silva last fought in at UFC 78 where he defeated Houston Alexander via strikes in the first round. Silva was originally slated to face Rashad Evans at UFC 84, but Evans is replacing the injured Mauricio Rua at UFC 85 against Chuck Liddell..

Antonio Mendes will be making his UFC debut and looking to snap Silva’s unbeaten record. Mendes brings his own 14-2 record and 11 fight win streak into the Octagon.
