Chad Edward at nokaut.com is reporting that EliteXC has offered Fedor Emelianenko a four-fight contract. While ProElite has not confirmed or denied the report, Edwards cites a “reliable source.”

Reportedly, the contract would include two fight on CBS with Fedor and two fight via Pay-Per-View with a portion of the PPV proceeds paid to Emelianenko.

Sounds kind of suspect to me, but nokaut.com has run some reliable information in the past so I don’t mind passing this along to think over. Whatever Fedor’s current contract status with M-1 Global may be, it seems tenuous at best. I’m sure every major (and some minor) MMA promotion is back in the “Fedor hunt.” With the new prime-time deal on CBS, EliteXC would seem like a natural fit.
