so whos hyped for the fight tonight? the place is gonna be wild man, the crowd was nuts last night and that was just the weigh-ins. it was a bit disrespectful when Goldberg was asking Matt Serra questions the crowd was booing so loud you could even hear hear him at all (it didnt help that when Serra took the scale he was saying “two times motherf*ckers”) but the Canadian fans love the Canadian fighters so it was a bit expected.

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

my seat is sec. 202 row c seat 7 (3 rows from the railing on the second level in the middle) and the tickets were $225 each. lol im such an MMA nerd, i record every MMA event that i can and i was trying to convince my wife to let me set up the DVD recorder and still buy the pay per view just so i can watch it 1000 more times like every other UFC lol. she wont let me (but i just buy the DVD later when it comes out lol) well anyways gents im outta here in about 15 min. to walk down to the Bell center to check in, by the way i get to go in the VIP door and i get free food and drinks and we even have our own little clothing shop not open to the public (only 2000 have access) so you can all start hating me now lol. i will send Doc more pics when i get back to the hotel tonight.

So the night went pretty much as planned, with no major upsets. All of the favorites did just what they were supposed to, win. I have to say that the fight card was somewhat mediocre. However, I was satisfied to see so many arrogant a—holes that I hate get destroyed. Charles McCarthy left nothing for the imagination with his whimpering performance. I actually thought “Chainsaw” might have a shot, after seeing how much smaller Bisping was at his 185lbs. debut. Even though he is now considered a pretty “big” middleweight, I guess my eyes were trying to adjust to his new size.

Nate Quarry continued to look spectacular with his pinpoint accuracy and aggressive style. Even though Nate has had a reputation of being difficult to work with, he still remains one of my favorite fighters to watch. Nate is a bruiser. He is the type of guy that after you finish a fight against him, you really start to feel the pain and injury on your body of what he’s done to you.
I especially enjoyed watching him abuse another fighter I can’t stand, Kaleb Starnes. What can I say, I just don’t like the guy ever since he was on TUF. Kaleb comes off as a real jerk who doesn’t appreciate anyone around him and last night, even after a dispicable, cowardly performance…he had the nerve to call out on of Nate Quarry’s corner men. Trully pathetic.

The Ed Herman fight wasn’t televised, but I couldn’t be happier as to how it ended. The “Short Fuse” was made unconscious with a beautiful triangle choke from top.

And last but certainly least, we come to Travis Lutter. Another guy with a big mouth boasting about how he wants another crack at Anderson Silva. Travis looked about as sorry as most of the other lambs put out for slay at UFC 83. Lutter showed 0 striking ability and absolutely no conditioning whatsoever. Someone should inform Mr. Lutter that the UFC is a pretty big deal in your career if you’re a fighter and it is NOT a grappling tournament, YOU WILL GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE REPEATEDLY!!!

In conclusion, I really hope that we won’t ever have to see these 4 particular pieces of sh-t in the cage again wasting out money, without even putting up a fight:

Charles McCarthy- I never want to waste my money to see this guy fight again.
    Kaleb Starnes- see Charles McCarthy
    Ed Herman- WEC time buddy
Travis Lutter-Has had about as many opportunities as he deserves in the UFC, chuck his *** once and for all Dana!!!

I agree 100% Amir, like i said, this wasnt an event to pick underdogs.. with the exception of Day and Demian (who really **** in my cornflakes by robbing me of my parlay bet which was paying 9000.. sigh.. i been knocked down to 30th overall earnings on the playground)

McCarthy once again demonstrated why he doesnt belong in the UFC, i seriously dont see any reason for a fighter to go into the turtle position. With his forehead on the matt covering both sides of his head so only the back of his head is revealed, which is illegal to hit. That is a real ***** move man.. im glad Bisping started dropping those knees to his ribs, too bad he didnt start in on those sooner tho.

Lutter took a page out of McCarthys book by going into the turtle position aswell, the only difference is that he had a hold of Franklins ankle. It was clear that the single leg had been unsuccessful all night for Travis, so his version of the turtle was just as bad as McCarthys… i began to think he was just bowing down and kissing Franklins feet.

Starnes, WORST PERFORMANCE EVER!!! and in CANADA! i think everyone would have had more respect for the guy if he just got KOed in the 1st round, atleast he would have fought like a man. That guys not gonna be back in the UFC, EVER! im sure of that..

How bout a hand for Danzig?? he showed some EXCELLENT movement on his feet and a strong all around game. How bout Bocek too! DAAM that kid looked great out there, you could tell he wasnt ever going to give up in that fight. He also displayed good all around skills, he wasnt going out in front of his canadian fans man, that kids got heart for daaays!

  7. bvrasp says:

    GSP and Serra

Kenny mentioned that GSP had respect for Serras standup game, thats why he took him down. I dont think that was the case at all.. I think George did the same thing Serra did the first time. He surprised Serra by beating him at his own game. He took Serra down at will, hit him at will and he controlled the whole fight. Great job by George man, he completely decimated Serra like he should have the first time.

Its Hughes turn now, after running his mouth, Serra is gonna have to pay for his arrogance.. AGAIN. Hughes is gonna put a thumping on Serra man, and i cant wait!
