The UFC’s next event in England, UFC 85, suffered yet another setback last night as Chuck Liddell pulled himself off the fight card with a torn hamstring. Liddell was set to face Rashad Evans in the nights main event.
According to UFC President Dana White, Liddell still wanted to compete:
Being the warrior that he is, he still wanted to fight, which is the reason why everyone in the world loves him, but I wouldn’t let anyone fight with his leg looking that way. Let him heal and come back and fight when he is 100 percent.
UFC 85, scheduled for June 7 in London, England will now be looking for a decent main event. James Irvin has been surfaced as a possible replacement to face Evans, but nothing is confirmed at this point.

That is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. I didn’t know what I was looking at for moment. Chuck has some real chicken legs, huh? lmao
well this really blows the fat dong….ufc 85 that card is looking very lackluster…imma probably skip buyin that one..
yeah, 85 is looking pretty weak at this point.
its pretty much the same type of card UFC 72 in Ireland
extremely week…now there talking about irvin stepping in for liddell …what the **** kinda main event is irvin vs evans…definetly not getting this trash!!
This event’s title should be called UFC 85: Bring A Book. Here’s an idea, pull Rashad off the card and put in an injured Shogun and an injured Liddell instead.
why not bump the Wandi-Jardine fight from 84 to 85
na.. good fight… but not good enough for a main event… i think the best move if both healthy … gsp vs fitch for 85… these dudes wait six months at a time before they fight again common… what happened to dudes fighting once every quarter?
its because hes the champ Patrick, the champ doesnt fight as often as other fighters.
and St.Pierre said he wants to go on vacation for a while.
even though i cant stand bisbing… anyone else agree that he looked bad *** at 185
yeah he did look good…. but its not hard to look good against someone like Chainsaw, whos biggest moment in that fight was making face at Bisping.
i was never really happy with the Liddell vs. Evans anyway, but now that whole card is pretty much poop now.
Well I doubt they will be able to come up with a decent main event now, so unless they move this card to Spike TV, I won’t watch it. I’m certainly not going to pay for the card.
This would mark the 2nd time this year that I haven’t bought a UFC PPV, which would be a record.
