While I normally can’t stand Dan Le Batard he actually talks very intelligently about the event.

How is it that all of these TV hosts that are supposed to be educated on the world of sports know nothing about something the size of MMA? They can tell you more about cricket and lacrosse than MMA (you can argue that cricket is huge in other places but this is an american show for american people) even when its geting so big. These hosts piss me off. I understand that MMA has not been the huge force that is it now and will be, but more of a reason to start to get familiar with it. Calling Thompson a “bum”, to me thats inaccurate. Why bash MMA!?!?! bash something stupid like pro wrestling, where the blood and violence is made to look real for 8 year olds! no excuse, just like the ESPN touch on the Ortiz fight where they called him (spelled phonetically) “Lee-oto My-cho-to”, what a joke.
kinda blows you away a bit that someone could be so ignorant about a sport yet they go on TV and talk about it as if there experts. i realize they are not going to get on the show and say “now we know nothing about the sport but here is our opinion anyway” but damn they are better off saying nothing at all or better yet educate yourself at least a bit then go on TV and talk about it. those guys are a couple of know it all pricks who do nothing but talk sh*t and that why i hate that show, that and the fact that i dont watch any other sports really so there is nothing about that show for me worth wasting my time on watching anyway and im sure this will be the last time i bother with it. i think im going to make my own show and talk about football since im an expert, i did watch the Redskins win the Superbowl about 15 years ago lol.
i think these guys are around just to spout dumb catch phrases like: the mustard is off the hotdog, slammy jammy baby, holy macanov, etc.. I find it very irritating.. its like shut the fk up already..
I think they should reserve commentating jobs for the ex-athletes or coaches who have the charisma to handle a mic. I thought Randy did a good job in UFC and ofcourse Bas is always great behind the mic.
- everyones talking about this today..
At tomorrows Affliction press conference, Donald Trump will be announcing that former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski, has officially signed with the upstart promotion. The Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization and the Special Counsel to Donald J. Trump, Michael D. Cohen, confirmed the news with MMARated.com.
Trump will also announce that he has become an equity partner in the Affliction promotion. When asked what percentage of the organization he now owns, Mr. Cohen would only say “a significant amount.”
- ill say one thing.. thats good news for Tito, jus call up the Don and ask for a job hehe.
I think Dana is shaking in his cold sweat … lol…
