UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre has been nominated in the “Best Fighter” category for this year’s ESPY awards by ESPN.

Everyone reading this post right now needs to head over to the ESPY voting site and vote for GSP. Seriously, stop what you are doing and do it right now. If you don’t, I don’t ever want you visiting this site again because you don’t deserve it.

Here’s the clip from UFC.com

On July 20th, UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre will attempt to become the first mixed martial artist to win an ESPN ESPY award, as he has been nominated for the ‘Best Fighter’ award following a 12 month period that has seen him decision Josh Koscheck, submit Matt Hughes, and TKO Matt Serra to regain his 170-pound crown.

St-Pierre’s competitors in the ‘Best Fighter’ category include boxers Joe Calzaghe, Holly Holm, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Kelly Pavlik. To vote for St-Pierre, visit www.espys.tv.

The award show airs on ESPN on Sunday, July 20th at 9pm ET.

    Where is Anderson Silva’s nomination???

  2. I will do no such thing. ESPN has the wrong fighter nominated for this award. If I can “write in” Anderson Silva, then I will. Otherwise, not going to vote for the THIRD best pound for pound fighter in the world.

you are a complete and utter moron dude! do you wake up everyday with a plan to see how many people you can piss off? do you not see the bigger picture here? do you think maybe, just maybe if we vote for the ONE and ONLY MMA fighter on the list there might be more then ONE next year? i know ESPN made the wrong choice in fighters to put on the list, but do you think by not voting at all your fixing that? i thought you are into some kind of politics? you would think that you might have some understanding about how these things work. think about it like this “im not vote for the presidential election this year because my buddy Jon isnt on the ballot, and he would make an awesome president.” sound a bit dumb dont ya think?

  3. R.J. St.Croix says:

i personally didnt vote for GSP and im not going to vote at all, why? because this way ESPN will smarten up a bit and put the f*ckin Ultimate Warrior on the gawddam list! like sh*t man, that whole list is dumb as hell, no Warrior, no Hulk, not even the Rock made the list what kind of sh*t is this!…. sorry guys i couldnt help myself lol.

is it just me or did my last post just not work?

  5. Amir says:

Maybe it was the angle of the camera man but boy…Franklin really looks much bigger than Wandi…lol. Shouldn’t it be the opposite?

    • bvrasp says:

nah Amir, like me and RJ were just saying Rich is Huge man, plus Wandy is kind of a small LHW im sure he could make 185 easy but he likes to play with the big boys, and he can definatley hold his own.

  6. bvrasp says:

By the way RJ, i dont think thats Bisping and Serra man, i think its just 2 bald dudes lol. It does look like them, but in the part 2 of the video we kind of get the profile shot of those guys and i dont think its them..

this was at the 2008 National Rock Papaer Scissors Championships

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

lol National Rock Papaer Scissors Championships, thats too funny lol. yeah i watched it again and your right i think, at the end of the second video i though it was Dana walking in. i was on the floor laughing at the video, both guys are shirtless and Wand looks like hes hyped for a fight and warming up…. for rock, paper, scissors lol

      • bvrasp says:

I was waiting for Wand to do that thing where he warms up his wrists hehe..

        • bvrasp says:

Any time MMA fighters do something it makes it that much more interesting man lol. Cant wait to see Bob Sapp and Cabbage enter the World competative eating league hehe..

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

they should have done a stare down at the beginning lol. Rich might have just said forget it after a Wand stare down though lol.

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

and if there was ever an eating contest between Cabbage and the Beast you would see world hunger skyrocket for sure lol.

MMA means Mixed Martial Arts, and it consists of grappling, striking, and submission fighting. Mixed Martial Arts is sweeping the country and the sports world. Mixed Martial Arts is both a style and not a style simultaneously. Thank you for giving this site Choosing The Best Martial Arts Style.
