DOC i just watched the main event again.. I have to agree with your scoring.. Forrest got lucky is all I can say.. i mean in my experience to be the champ your really have to BEAT the champ especially if it goes to the card, the incumbent is supposed to have leverage there.. none was shown the only African American title holder of any MMA org... sucks.. I think Jackson got ripped, and you know what, if Anderson Silva wasn't winning by KO and submission, I have a feeling he might be getting ripped off too..

Funny... Forrest won the title.. whoopee.. now what? Fights Chuck, and he might win but I don't seriously think so.. he's out 3 months minimum due to damage, maybe 6 cause Rampage BEAT him so he REFLECTS the beating in the form of CUTS and so forth... I bet he fights either Wandy or Machida next.. then what.. Machida will beat him, it will be a battle of who can be the most boring powerless puncher and kicker.. and with Wand.. well either forrest gets ko'ed in round 1 or he rotary jogs and runs like a little girl as he has done in the last 3 fights he's had every time someone touches him... I miss the old forrest who would stand in and trade man.. this new Forrest has the technical strategy of Randy Couture, and the excitement of a goldfish..

SPLIT DOWN THE FREAKING LINE.. they both were active, they hurt each other, Forrest was busier, but Jackson matched takedowns; Jackson also drew several knockdowns and drew blood..cmon..

I think that the fight was a split, and I do also think that either Rampage under trained because of underestimating Forrest or because he is re upping the contract and was advised he would get a better offer to lay back a little, so he twinkied out and laid off.. you know Jackson it IS ALL about the cheddar..

I watched the fight... Forrest was much 'busier' but Rampage CLEARLY beat the crap out of Forrest... of course the color commentator Joe Rogan was talking about Forrest's almost triangle, but he really didn't have much to say about Rampage's attempted and half accomplished slam.. funny.. the UFC seemed to be in the corner of Forrest for this whole deal.. they really do ride the wagon of the guy that best fits their marketing guise...

Amir, in terms of the conspiracy theory, yes i see the "motive" for that kind of thing but i dont think that really happend in the fight.

I can see how they would want Forrest to win, but i cant see why Rampage would want to lose?? theres no way he threw that fight. Look at that uppercut in the 1st round! that could have easily KOed Forrest and Rampage jumped right on him, faster than he jumped on Chuck. I dont think Rampage was going easy on forrest at all, every punch he threw was HARD man, if he caught Forrest clean with any of those he might have got the KO too.

About the TUF show, its not surprising to me that the ratings are slipping, the shows have been really sub par lately. i would absolutely LOVE to see another comeback show! i dont care what people say about season 1, that was my fav season man. You already know all the fighters, you know what they can do, you know where they came up short. The end result of Serra beating GSP was epic man, it may have been lucky, but it was still epic! and i dont think they would have ANY trouble getting 16 veterans who had a stroke of bad luck come back and vie for a title shot.

Then you will see the rating come back strong for sure.

Yeah, Tyson looked strong. I really thought Aurelio would be able to take him, but Tyson turned it up a notch for this fight.

When Tyson first came into the UFC, you might remember, I was pretty hyped on him but I cooled off after his last few fights. Looks like I was wrong to start doubting him.

What is there left to say? Rampage is now all over the internet admitting that he thought he did enough to win the fight, so let's stop with all the "Rampage even admitted defeat bs".

I really don't know why everyone is so against the "conspiracy theory". I think it's perfectly legit. Pride was notorious for asking fighters to take a dive.

I've rarely seen Rampage so timid in a fight, especially after coming to the UFC and claiming that he "turned the corner", and now takes his training and fighting career much more seriously.

So if we all can't agree on who should have been the winner, can we at least agree that the fight should have been a split decision at the very least? that's an obvious alarm to the discrepency in judging an MMA fight because there is no way in hell that I can understand how it was unanimous.

P.S. with TUF reality show ratings slipping further and further down every season, is it any wonder why now they are launching the rags to riches story of Forrest Griffin making it to the top after getting his start on the show?
