The fight between Paul Buentello and Aleksander Emelianenko has been pulled from the Affliction: Banned fight card.
The fight, originally scheduled to headline the FoxSportsNet portion of the fight card, was canceled by the California State Athletic Commission after Emelianenko was unable to receive medical clearance.
I hope to have the weigh-in footage online as soon as The Fight Network posts their footage to the web.

Gary “Big Daddy” Goodridge has stepped in to replace Emelianenko and will fight Paul Buentello.

Hey Doc, i just read that Goodridge might be stepping in to take on Buentello! YES!! i know hes old and he hasnt looked good lately, but i love to see Big Daddy fight! Better than having some nobody step up..

just so everyone knows ahead of time, BVRasp and i usually sit on here and discuss fights during some of the smaller shows, and i plan on popping off and on during tonights fights like usual so please feel free to jump in and add your two cents, it would be cool to hear some other opinions and thoughts, and im sure if hes gonna be on BV wont mind hearing your thoughts as well.
yup ill be around tonight.. sadly my buddies didnt wanna get the affliction card because of the free UFC event.. oh well.. its always fun to shoot the **** in between fights..
yeah man Zuffa really work some magic here, timing has a lot to do with it too. things a tight for a lot of people right now and the Affliction card cost close to $50 the UFC card costs nothing. also while the Affliction card has quite a few good fighters they are lesser known then the couple of big names the UFC card has, and its hard to get people to spend money on something there not sure they’ll like. as far as the casual fan knows Fedor is Jake O’Brian with a really good record, if Affliction plans on riding Fedor into MMAs upperclass they will have to figure out a way to showcase him to the fans without them running the risk of being bummed over spending $50
ya.. plus there 10 GUYS making their UFC debut tonight and alot of people STILL rather watch that than Affliction. Ofcourse its all about the money and Fedor REALLY needs to beat Tim for some of the newer fans to know who he is..

yeah man the “i have a tiny p*nus” neo-nazi piece of human waste thinks hes being funny with that tattoo. when someone asked him about it he said its a crack at the “white guys have small d*cks” thing, and hes oh so f*ckin funny. it really blows me away that there is still people around like him, i mean come on man its 2008 enough with the prejudice bullsh*t already its getting a little old. and im really surprised they dont mention that Grey Maynard has a trampstamp lol.
well That would have been the ultimate gate keeper fight. Both of these guys fold against top flight competition so it would have been interesting to see how it played out. Maybe someone should slip Buentello some Hepatitis so it would be a mutual risk thing. I will look forward for more mma news from here
