man, if you check my past events.. i only ever miss one fight on my parlays. This time around it was Franca but that knee near the end made it interesting hehe.

I checked out the guy who placed #1 for that event, he bet all his money and he had Burns to win lol wtf? lucky bstard!!

  2. bvrasp says:

Talking about Burns.. im surprised there isnt more discussion about that complete ROBBERY last night. I guess because it was Anthony Johnson and nobody cares about him or something. Im sure if that was Chuck getting poked (instead of doing the poking) the nuthuggers would be going nuts about the decision to award him the win.

Maybe its just unanimous throughout the world that he got robbed and people feel theres no need to talk about it, because everyone knows what it is man….

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah man i think its kinda obvious it was as wrong as it could have been to give the fight to Burns, there was a handful of ways to call that fight and calling Burns the winner by TKO was not one of them, calling Burns the winner by anything is wrong. at very least stop the fight due to accidental injury and go to the judges if they feel the fight went on long enough. i know the ref cant call something he didnt see but this is one of those cases where they needed to look at an instant replay or something because as it stands right now the guy who was winning and should have won even with the stoppage has a loss on his record now. im hoping to see that one over turned and made a NC.

      • bvrasp says:

Man its not like it was one eye poke and it was an accident. Almost right after he got hit with that low blow, burns started throwing his jab with his hand open.. there had to be atlest 3-4 eyepokes. The ref warned him, but something like an eyepoke is a SERIOUS infraction in my book.

It seems like they care more about guys holding the fence than an eyepoke which could end the fight and possibly end a fighters career!

I personally thought it was intentional, in the post fight interview, Burns said he broke his hand so he decided to switch his jab to a palm strike. Uhh… i didnt see him throw any palm strikes and the fight ending poke definately wasnt any kind of palm strike ive ever seen before.

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

palm strike? LOL nice one, good cover up LOL the last time i seen something like the Burns super palm strike technique was Moe from the Three Stooges lol.

        • bvrasp says:

Seriously man, i think it was Mazagatti, hes gotta get on his job. You cant have guys scoring TKOs with eyepokes. Most fighters will break the rules enough to get an advantage without losing a point. You already know you can cheat until you get a warning, why do you think Fighters always grab the cage, then they get a warning, “oh ya.. i forgot that wasnt allowed, my bad”.

Now guys are gonna start eyepoking like crazy, you can atleast get away with one eyepoke, especially if your losing the fight like Burns was. They gotta be strict on **** like that, eyepokes, striking to the throat and spine. Once that happens you gotta stop the action, split em up give the guy time and SEVERELY warn the other fighter.

What ever happened to protecting the fighters?? they only protect the guys who they like apparantly..

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah that eye poke could have ended Johnsons career just like that and then what? sorry Mr.Johnson but we cant allow you to fight anymore but i hear McDonalds is hiring.

  3. bvrasp says:

WOW i just noticed something.. the playground has Huerta as the favorite against Florian. I guess theyre judging purely by the fighters records or something?

Kenny has become an absolute beast at LW, i see him submitting Huerta.

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah man its like when Huerta fought Clay they had Guida as the favorite and a lot of people didnt understand why, Huerta has been built into a top ten guy buy the UFC whether he really is or not. i really like Huerta im a big fan but this fight with him and Kenny is going to be a VERY tough fight for him and IF he win i would put him up in the top ten.

      • R.J. St.Croix says:

and i did pick Huerta to win on mmaplayground, not that i think he will win but im really hoping to see him win. i wanna see him win the title someday and then they can make his life story into a movie, a real screwy, messed up childhood and the drive and determination to become a champion leads Roger on the path to fortune and fame. its a great story lol.

        • bvrasp says:

Ya i like Huerta too, he gained alot of respect in my book after that fight with Guida. Im picking Kenny to win though.. since his fight with Sherk his game has gone through the roof.

The LW div is just STACKED right now man.. its probably the deepest div in the UFC at this point.

      • bvrasp says:

They have Lesnar as the favorite over Herring too LOL, how does that work??? its like theyre basing these odds on what the fighters look like.

Is this a bodybuilding competition or mma??? I think Herrings gonna beat the hell out of Lesnar man.. I dunno if he could get the KO, we still never seen Lesnar take a single punch yet, but he has a pretty thick skull lol.

Were finally gonna get to see Brock get punched in the face hehe nice.

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah man Herring should be able to work Lesnar over in just about every aspect of MMA and seeing as this will be an MMA match and not a wrestling match i dont see Lesnar standing much of a chance.

  4. R.J. St.Croix says:

goto the UFC website and watch the after fight interviews with Anderson and Cain Velasquez, talk about to humble fighters. i love there attitudes Silva says “he moved the wrong piece and got cough, im not invincible and the same could happen to me” then he goes on to say that he bummed that Irvin got hurt (talking about his eye) man Anderson is like the perfect champ, classy, humble, respectful, and dominating you cant ask for a better champ, unless of course it bothers you that he doesnt speak english but i dont really know why that matters to people.
