Featherweight Leonard Garcia is expected to fight Jens Pulver at WEC 36 this September in Hollywood, FL.

Garcia only recently had all federal charges against him dropped in a recent drug ring bust in his Texas hometown. Prior to his arrest, Garcia was considered a top contender to challenge current WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber. Now with his legal troubles behind him, Garcia can return to his fighting career.

Jens Pulver is coming off a very good performance against Urijah Faber this past June, losing a unanimous decision to the champion. After that fight, Pulver had successful elbow surgery and was planning on an October return to the WEC, but it appears he will be back a month earlier.

this one is going to be wild. Pulver can bang like a mofo and Garcia will have no problem with standing in the middle of the cage and throwing right back. Garcia has a wicked Mexi-chin but i think Jens has enough power to hurt him and finish. ive been a fan of Garcia ever since his fight with Huerta where he showed huge heart, but just got out work by the bigger, stronger Huerta and im really glad to see hes not going down for drugs and such. heres to hoping Garcia can beat Jens and get a shot at Faber, that would be a wild one too.
