As a fight camp, we are middle-of-the-pack in the middleweight division with an overall rank of 27 out of 45 fight camps. As a camp, we have a 61.5% pick rate which places us 27th overall, but we have an average bankroll of $442.29 which places us 16th overall for earnings.

Congrats to everyone on a good overall event and a big welcome to our newest members Lam and gus-swifey.

The next event is UFC 88: Breakthrough on September 6th, so if you haven’t joined our fight camp yet and are interested, now is the best time to get involved.

looks like were not doing too good on the playground, but its still early in the season, i think were coming back..

I had a crap event, getting like 35 points on my picks.. i think i got 30 points on just one fight last time, this time i got zero on the hotbout, i think we should get together as a team for atleast that one fight. The hot bout is what makes or breaks your score, so lets talk about that one next time..

As for wagers, i missed my parlay by one fight AGAIN.. man, it doesnt even matter that they changed it from 4 fights to a max of 3, it could be 10, ill still always miss one fight, its really frustrating. On the plus side, its not real money so its not that bad hehe.

How bout my cousin Chosen, he cleaned up making 8.6K pretty much carrying the team in the earning column, great job kid.

getting our heads together for the hotbout sounds like a good plan, the only issue is a lot of times the hot bout is a coin flip kinda fight. like UFC 88 is going to be Roan Carneiro vs. Ryo Chonan, both have skills but both have been known to flake out too. this is also a rematch from a few years ago where Chonan won by cut stoppage (i didnt see the fight so i dont know who was winning before the cut) so i have no idea who i like in this fight but im open to suggestions.

      • Lam says:

When you say get together for the hot bout do you mean that we talk about which combination of fighter, result, and round so that at least one of us in the camp gets the full points for the bout?

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah something like that, but i think more like everyone gets on the same page for the hot bout that way it’ll be kinda all or none.

        • bvrasp says:

Ya thats a good point, it might be a bad idea for all og us to have the same exact pick, fighter/round/method. All or nothing is bad, well its bad if we all get nothing lol.

This past event was Cummo vs Mcrory, kind of a strange fight to be the hot bout, but anyways, its usually a coin flip like you said. Still though, we didnt talk about that fight at all even though about 40% of our camp picked Mcrory.

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

its not going to be a huge deal if we all lose the one fight because it happens all the time, like you said less then half our camp got the McCrory pick anyways, and out of the top 11 (me and DJersey tied at #5) only 4 people picked that one right and still got decent points. i think it would work ether way, if we all get it wrong we’ll probably just stay in the middle of the pack but if we all get it right it could bump us up a notch or two. im just thinking the rewards out weigh the risk in the case.

        • bvrasp says:

You have a point there RJ, another thing is most of the poeple in our camp dont post on this site tho hehe, so i guess it doesnt make much difference for them..

  2. Lam says:

Thanks for the shoutout Doc. Im pretty pleased with my first time out. The only thing Im disappointed in is huerta’s fight I really wish he could have pulled that out but K-Flo really fought a good tactical fight doing everything he needed to do to win the fight, but I think huerta isnt going anywhere soon and could possibly beat K-Flo in the inevitable rematch.
