Parisyan vs Yoshida Fight Cancelled

Only a few hours before the official weigh-ins for UFC 88: Breakthrough were scheduled to begin, the welterweight title fight between Karo Parisyan and Yoshiyuki Yoshida has been cancelled.

UFC.com delivered the news a short time ago:

A last-minute back injury has forced welterweight contender Karo Parisyan to withdraw from his UFC 88 bout with Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Saturdayâ€™s UFC 88 card will continue with nine bouts, and the welterweight bout between Dong Hyun Kim and Matt Brown will now be aired on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Why the Brown vs Kim fight was chosen to fill the empty slot on the Pay-Per-View portion of the card is beyond me. I would much rather see the Thiago Tavares vs Kurt Pellegrino fight or the Roan Carneiro vs Rho Chonan fight.

I agree 100% doc.. or Kampman vs Marquardt.. theres so many more interesting fights.. quite a sad turn of events..
