Raw Combat, and upstart MMA promotion out of Canada, has officially announced their second fight card scheduled for October 25 at the Stampede Corral in Calgary, Alberta.

The big news is that the event will be headlined by a fight between Denis Kang and Marvin Eastman. As far as I can tell, Kang has not fought on North American soil since he competed at AFC 14 in 2005. Since that time, Kang has built a reputation as one of the top middleweights during his time in the PrideFC, K-1 HERO’s, and Spirit MC promotions.

The rest of the fight card has not yet been announced.

Raw Combat held their first event this past June with a fight card that included David Loiseau, Travis Galbraith, and Carlo Prater.

Also, to all my loyal Canadian readers; if any of you are interested in attending and covering this event as a reporter for MMA HQ please let me know. You, of course, would need to provide your own transportation to the event in Alberta, Calgary, but if you are local to that area we sure could use the help covering the event as a reporter and/or photographer.

    yo doc

whats the latest on kj noons… any news on that pus?

    • bvrasp says:

The news Patrick, is that KJ got stripped of the title and Diaz is fighting Alvarez for the now vacant title. Noons still has 2 fights left on his contract and he plans to make a statement about it sometime this week.

So thats where we are.. Noons went from champ, to watching the title fight from the stands all in one fell swoop by his manager Mark Dion.

  2. PATRICK says:

its his manager…now he is up **** creek with no paddle… hahaha

    • bvrasp says:

id say Dion beat him with the paddle and then drowned him in ***** creek lol.

      • R.J. St.Croix says:

no its more like he beat him with a sh*t paddle, and drowned him in a sh*t creek, because the sh*t floats to the top and the sh*t leopard will never change its sh*t spots… Ricky! LOL

        • bvrasp says:

AHAHAHAHAHA!!! that was great RJ LOL.I think Noons is done man.. He didnt want to fight Diaz for the title, now hes got 2 fights left, do you think he wants to fight nobodys? Nah hes probably gonna breach the contract and persue his boxing dreams.

I liked Noons for his skills, but his attitude is just wrong for MMA. Now hes on my “i hope to see you get KOed soon” list.

Another guy on that list is Jesse Taylor, god i hate that dude. Hes just the complete opposite of what an MMA fighter should be. Thats why i like Japanese fighters, they know what its about man.

Jesse is back to the minor leagues in MMA, i sincerely hope that he catches a beatdown in his next fight and every subsequent fight hes a part of until he hang it up and goes back to… whatever it is that someone would pay him to do… maybe landscaping or something..

first off LOL @ no one cares about Dennis Kang….
i like Kang hes a great fighter but hes a big off my radar right now, i think its one of those cases of he needs to fight in the UFC and have a good showing so the casual fans know who he is. its sad but true that lots of good fighters have and will continue to get lost in the shuffle. i dont think Raw Combat will ever rival the big dogs in MMA, so if your a fighter who is past the “growing up” stage in MMA why would you bother, these promotions are great for very early up-starting fighters and fighter on there way out, not fighters in there prime or very close to it.
