so i know its a bit early but whats everyone thinking for the Penn/St.Pierre rematch? i just got finished watching the little presser they put together and one of the questions raised really got me thinking about the fight… the question was asked of BJ Penn and the question was “now that you’ve conditioned yourself at 155lbs. going back up to 170lbs. how are you going to carry the extra weight and still be conditioned to go 5 rounds?” this could be jogging through sh*t for BJ if he cant find the right balance. he said he’ll have GSP guessing if hes gonna be a fast 165lbs. BJ or a strong 175lbs. BJ come fight day, im just hoping he doesnt f*ck this up and comes in good shape and puts on a good show.

Brock is probably the highest paid fighter in the UFC now right? Has to be…. oh wait, I think Chucks contract is $500k per fight…

  5. MMAKansas says:

Guess the WWE really is real, I mean look at Brock… wow.. he took his licks and won…

I wonder if say Triple H would ever come over to the UFC for “THE GREAT HALI” now that would be so neat….

On a completely off-topic. So I’m in my car yesterday around my old neigborhood when I see a guy crossing the street with a black tapout shirt. Frankly, seeing that type of gear is still rare around here in Brooklyn. Before I realize it, I do a double-take and believe it or not, its Phillipe Nover from the “Ultimate Fighter”…LOL

I started honking at him and he looked at me like I was crazy. I knew from the show that he’s from Brooklyn, but I guess I was so shocked to see him walking around, I didn’t really know what to say.

Anyways, after some minor chit-chat he invited me to check out his website regarding the Finale viewing party he’s throwing. He actually worked at the same hospital my mom does, as a nurse. Overall, I have to say I can tell he is one of the nicest guys out there and I see why he is one of the most liked fighters in that nutty house.

What can I say, it was weird…we don’t have many famous MMA fighters from Brooklyn who are also in the health field like I am. It turned the rest of my day upside down…very exciting.
