The holiday spirit continues on at Zuffa headquarters as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou is the newest fighter to join the ranks of the unemployed this month.
After knocking out both Ricardo Arona and Antonio Nogueira in PrideFC to improve his record to 4-1, Sokoudjou was looked at as “the next big thing” in the light heavyweight division. However, Sokou did not enjoy the same success inside the UFC that he did outside.
Sokoudjou began his UFC career at UFC 79 with a very disappointing effort against Lyoto Machida. He followed that fight up with a victory due to injury at UFC 84 against Kazuhiro Nakamura and then subsequently was KO’d by Luiz Cane at UFC 89 last month.
