  4. richard says:

    kansas
i have 50 real american dollars on the rampage fight, come on buddy dont be scared

  5. MMAKansas says:

He Richard, gotta admit that Wanderlei makes the card man, without him fighting on it, dunno, I guess I wouldn’t be even 1/3 a thrilled, the UFC poll indicates that 50.84% of people are watching this card, for the Wand V Jackson fight… second in line on that poll is Forrest V Rashad at 34%… yeah.. they aren’t event he main event but they are rated higher than either title fight, main event or co main event…

  6. bvrasp says:

So lets talk about Forrest vs Rashad for a sec. Is it just me or does Rashad have all the same attributes as Rampage minus the experience? maybe a bit more cardio, but we all saw how Forrest handled Rampage and i expect to see basically a repeat of that fight. I think winning the title will make Forrest even tougher to beat now and definately harder to win a decision against.

  7. richard says:

alright i can see u dont want to bet,but for sure the RAMPAGE fight adds so much to the card but im looking to the big nog fight,i want mir to get submitted.Does anyone know how much bjj mir actually knows?

    • bvrasp says:

      Richard,

Mirs parents operated a kenpo karate school and hes been winning tourneys since he was 5 ofcourse reaching black belt very fast as you can imagine. At 14 he started BJJ and became a collegiate champion wrestler. By the time he was a purple belt he was tapping out blackbelts and competing in the UFC. He achieved his blackbelt well before his accident and has been teaching ever since.

Its no so much a matter of how much does he know as how gifted he is at what he DOES know. In terms of actual moves, him and Nog are probably very close to even. In terms of the little idiosyncrasies of setting up a submission, making transitions and basically faking out or tricking the other guy…. well we will find out next week who has the better Jits.

      • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah thats what Jits is all about, most people know a good majority of the holds and positions very early in there training but it come down to applying it at the right moment. if you can make your armbars seem like a gogo/omo-plata they will move the wrong way and bang its over.

        • MMAKansas says:

Absolutely, however I haven’t see Mir at peak performance in years, he got a VERY green Brock which he baited and hooked quite easily after taking a nasty beating on the ground. I don’t know, I think Mir has this one, unless it stays up, then Mir has a pretty good chance.

        • MMAKansas says:

Meant to say that I think “NOG” has this one unless its a standing war.. sorry

        • bvrasp says:

Im going with Nog too.. Forrest, Wandy and Nog, the trifecta hehe

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

yep same here Nog, Forrest, and Wand….. but i got this feeling that Evans might pull it out.

        • MMAKansas says:

yeah, RJ good point, he looks pretty confident (Rashad) and Forrest looks pretty much like he already lost.

        • R.J. St.Croix says:

yeah maybe thats it. im not sure why i think that, but you could be right. Forrest seems defeated already and Rashad is coming off a huge win that must have sent his confidence skyrocketing.

        • MMAKansas says:

Yeah, if Forrest doesn’t stay back and work points, he is gonna get the crap kicked out of him… not that he can’t take it, he CAN like a champ, but it wouldn’t benefit him at all… I really want to see him and Wandy go at it..

    • MMAKansas says:

Yeah Richard you wanted to know how much BJJ Mir knows.. well lets see, he knows about 30 feet worth of BJJ.. or heck how can we measure how MUCH he knows.. perhaps it can be measured in a pickle jar.. hmm he knows more than your boy Quinton “I like to eat knees” Jackson.. how bout that for a measuring stick.. lol

  8. MMAKansas says:

I likes to eat me some knees.. hahahaha… lots of em’, like two whole fights worth of em’ .. lol

  9. MMAKansas says:

I just said all of that because for one, IT’S TRUE, Wand has the ANGLE on beating Jackson… and secondly, I get a kick out of responding the Rich when he is playing devils advocate on here with me, he was my best buddy when Dennis was bustin’ his nuts but when Dennis left he diverted his tenacity towards me… he’s a glutton for verbal punishment and mockery because he throw crap out there like picking Rampage, as if Rampage is making this fight, he isn’t everyone knows Wand has a bigger global base of fans than Jackson, and when Wand wins AGAIN for a THIRD TIME RICHARD HELLO?????? Then perhaps I can really just sit back and smile and put a few blistering comments on here and NOT LET IT GO and let Richard EAT IT.. lol

  10. bvrasp says:

hey RJ, did you check out that AXE vs RAM hype video Doc put up? its like 7 min or something, but its pretty sweet man, had me pumped for the fight hehe.

  11. MMAKansas says:

I know, I almost had a stroke last year when chuck and wand went at it.. was shaking so hard before during and after the fight, and couldn’t concentrate on work for a week leading up to the fight…
