Well it appears any UFC fighters still afraid of the “Boogeyman” can rest easy as middleweight Dean Lister has been released from his UFC contract.
According to MMAWeekly.com, Lister asked to be released from his UFC contract following his recent loss to Yushin Okami at UFC 92. The UFC granted Lister’s request and the grappling specialist is now shopping his skills around to other promotions.
Lister joined the UFC after a disappointing 1-2 run through PrideFC and gathered a strong 4-2 record inside the Octagon.
DREAM, Sengoku, and Affliction all are likely viable candidates for a fighter with Lister’s credentials as middleweight.
