Bobby Lashley

The life and legacy of Ken Shamrock, the “world’s most dangerous man,” may be coming to an end in a few weeks as the 45-year-old has signed on to fight Bobby Lashley.

Shamrock and Lashley are expected to fight on the upcoming March Badness fight card, a combined boxing and mma event promoted by Roy Jones Jr. The event will take place in Jones’ hometown of Pensacola, FL on March 21.

Lashley, another former WWE star, is now training with American Top Team and has a professional MMA record of 1-0.

I’m not sure why Shamrock would agree to a fight like this considering Lashley is 265 lbs. of pure muscle and power. Ken Shamrock has only 3 wins in his last 8 fights, none of them against even C-level competition.

Sure, Lashley is still new to MMA, but he’s not new to athletic competition. Think of Lashley much like you think of Brock Lesnar. Both guys are similar in size and skill set, with Lashley being probably a bit quicker.

Many critics didn’t give Shamrock much of a chance in his cancelled fight against Kevin Ferguson, so how can he be given even a sliver of chance in this matchup?

Shamrock needs a CAT scan NOW! i dont know why he wants to get crushed in the ring by a giant black man but that seems to be his new MO. he must be riding high off his last win and feels like he can take on the world again.

I am worried for Shamrock, how in the hell did he get licensed to fight this fight????

This is crazy… I really cannot believe this – Couture is one thing, he at least WON in his comeback, that is a reason to license him, after losing to lesner I think the commission needs to watch his next fight closely before re-issuing a license, because he is getting too old, I don’t care what you guys say, after 45 a man risks his very life in that cage, one punch the wrong way, a fall… man crap… I am not the BIGGEST Ken Shamrock fan but he’s a founder/legend, and so I think he needs to exit the sport on a win, as he has now … finally a win… and he needs to leave it there … by the way his most recent win was in Japan, and he was larger than last year, so I think he was juiced, and if he goes into this one off the juice, he is gonna get hurt really bad by a guy who has been juicing consistently probably for at least 6-7 years….. it would be like fighting Lesner for god sake… nobody would take that seriously… he is probably thinking he is gonna pull off what Mir did to a green unseasoned Lesner but I have news for him… he isn’t tall, as long legged, fast, or good as Mir at this point in his career, I know legs, /angles are his specialty on the ground, but that boy is just toooooooooo big for him…

I hope he “cuts himself” before the fight in short….

yeah i have to agree with you on this, Kens chances of being the first death in an MMA ring are going up month to month. he has left his mark on the sport here is no need for him to end up in a coma for his swan song. Lashley without any sort of training what-so-ever would give Shamrock a good run just based on the size and strength, with him being a great wrestler and having been working with ATT for a while now i think he crushes Ken and gets a call from Dana if anyone happens to even notice it happened. i hope for Ken and Lashleys sake Ken doesnt make him self a stepping stone for this guy to get to the big show, Lashley could turn out to be a great fighter, but give it time.

Kansas, ya i agree the footlock skills will not come into play, i just dont see Ken being that agile anymore to sweep and isolate Lashleys leg from his back… and he WILL be on his back… To be honest i would love to see some huge eyes closed haymaker KO Lashley just to derail his rise a bit and help Ken save a little face at the same time.

If that doesnt happen, i hope Lashley gets a quick take down and lands about 8-10 quick but soft hammerfists so the ref stops it without Ken getting mauled too badly.

Nobody can say Ken doesnt have balls tho….

      • R.J. St.Croix says:

balls is the one things Ken will never lose, i swear the guy would fight ANYONE. that all good but hes proved that, we dont need to see him do it again. you could probably set him up in a WWE style handy capped MMA fight with him facing Lashley and Brock and he’d be down to bang just so no one would ever call him a b*tch for not taking the fight lol.
