Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will reportedly get a shot at the DREAM middleweight title next month at DREAM.9.
Souza, who competed in last year’s DREAM Middleweight Grand Prix, does not have an official opponent named yet, but Jason “Mayhem” Miller is reportedly a leading candidate.
While Miller’s name is being thrown around as a possible opponent, there is a very good reason why the fight might not happen. Miller is currently scheduled to fight Kala Hose on the inaugural Kingdom MMA fight card this weekend in Hawaii. While it’s not unheard of for a fighter to compete twice in the span of four to five weeks, Miller would have to come out of the Hose fight relatively unscathed.
The DREAM middleweight belt is currently vacant as former champion Gegard Mousasi has decided to move up a weight class and compete at light heavyweight. Mousasi originally won the middleweight title when he defeated Souza in the 2008 Middleweight Grand Prix final.
DREAM.9 is currently scheduled for May 26 in Japan. The only other currently expected fight on the fight card will be a lightweight matchup between Tatsuya Kawajiri and Gesias Calvancante.

Link for Bully Beatdown this week, guest fighter JAKE SHIELDS AHAHAHA i feel sorry for you bully……
oops forgot the link http://www.blitzcorner.com/MMA/bully-beatdown-episode-4-video/
How could someone write an article about Jacare fighting Mayhem in Dream 9 without refering to their matchup in last year’s Middleweight Grand Prix, which was one of the best grappler vs grappler fights in years, if not in MMA history?
Maximum Respect.
