A heavyweight fight between Paul Buentello and Tim Sylvia has been added to the upcoming Affliction: Trilogy fight card.
Sylvia has not fought since July 2008 where he was quickly defeated by Fedor Emelianenko in the first round. “The Maine-iac” is currently schedule to fight former boxing champion Ray Mercer in a “caged boxing” match next month on an Adrenaline fight card in Alabama.
Buentello last fought in January on the Affliction: Day of Reckoning card where he picked apart Kiril Sidelnikov for nearly three full rounds en route to a TKO victory.
Affliction: Trilogy is currently scheduled for August 1 in Anaheim, CA. The event will be headlined by the WAMMA heavyweight title fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Josh Barnett.
Also on the fight card are fights between Gegard Mousasi vs. Vitor Belfort, Chris Horodecki vs. Dan Lauzon, and Jay Hieron vs. Paul Daily.
