The total disclosed fighter payroll for the event was $216,222.05.
The WEC also awarded $10,000 superlative bonuses to the following fighters: Mike Brown and Urijah Faber for “Fight of the Night”, Jose Aldo for “Knockout of the Night”, and Seth Dikun for “Submission of the Night.”
If you think the payout numbers seem a little weird, you are not alone. I can only conclude that the WEC is now paying fighter salaries based on the total revenue from each event, based on the “fractional” amount of the dollar figures. This is just pure speculation on my part, however.
