Lashley vs. Sapp

The Ultimate Chaos main even saw heavyweight Bobby Lashley quickly dispatch the much larger Bob Sapp in the first round.

As soon as the first round bell rang, Lashley took Sapp down to the ground and began to work his ground-and-pound. The fighters remained in the same position, with Lashley throwing punches and elbow strikes and Sapp not attempting to better his position, for half of the first round. Eventually, Lashley landed some heavy blows that connected with Sapp’s face and “The Beast” tapped out just over three minutes into the fight.

“I got a good shot in the eye and was unable to see,” Sapp explained the ending. “He got me in the eye. No excuses, He got me down today and controlled it. Give it up to Bobby Lashley.”

In the night’s co-main event, Dutch star Gilbert Yvel quickly took out Pedro Rizzo in two minutes of the first round. Yvel connected with a few kicks and then a solid left hook that sent Rizzo to the mat. Once on the ground, Yvel proceeded to land some vicious blows that knocked Rizzo out cold.

With the victory, Yvel is now expected to be Tim Sylvia’s replacement at the Affliction: Trilogy event and face Paul Buentello.

Actually Patrick i gained alot of respect for Tom Atencio as a fighter last night. The guys got Heart man, i thought he was done and alot of other guys may have quit, but he pushed through and came back.

Im not sure why the fight was stopped, but ill say this, Tom was definately ready to keep fighting if his opponent answerd the bell.

I have to admit, i also liked how he rubbed it in Danas face with his comments after the fight hehe.

yeah i was really impressed with Atencio. the guy is 42 years old and is the VP of a clothing company, normally a guy in his spot would have no business being in a fight of any kind but Atencio obviously has love for the sport and is willing to step up, throw hands, tough out a real bad spot, and outlast a guy who probably trains full time for the win, i got a whole bunch of respect for Tom Atencio now.

      • Dr J says:

they stopped the fight because of the cut his opponent had on his head

  2. patrick says:
