According to Carmichael Dave, here are some of the specific details about the latest contract offered to Fedor Emelianenko by the UFC.

  • A six-fight, $30 million dollar contract
  • An immediate heavyweight title shot
  • An offer to M-1 Global for a portion of the PPV revenue from a Fedor vs. Lesnar matchup in addition to Fedor’s fight purse
  • Fedor would be free to advertise for M-1 Global on his apparel
  • Fedor would still be allowed to compete in Sambo competitions

As I discussed earlier in the day, it appears that the one issue that Fedor and Co. seem unwilling to compromise on is running a co-promotion with the UFC.

But the cold hard numbers are there (if accurate); $5 million per fight.

Again, this information has in no way been confirmed by anyone from the UFC or M-1 Global. Carmichael Dave has Dana White as a frequent guest on his radio show, but that does not mean these bullet points are accurate. It doesn’t mean they are inaccurate either, just take the info with a grain of salt.

If I were the UFC I would come back with a counter offer for less money each time they turn it down. where else will Fedor get those kind of numbers? I’m hating him more and more and can’t wait to see him get beat so his stock will go down. he’s a greedy offer hyped piece of crap. the only way for him to redeem himself is to fire his current management team and take the UFC offer.

    • zGodsDisciplez says:

I think Fedor should of take that offer. He isn’t the best until he fights in the UFC. The only people who was good that he fough was Minnotaru Nogueira , Mirko Cro cop, Andrei Arlovski and Mark Coleman. The rest to me no offend wasn’t good and if he is being greedy then he will lose his fame. If you want the best Fedor come to UFC to prove your the best in the division. If he gets a sign from another fight organization then there is nothing to say but that he don’t want competition and somewhat easy fights.

maybe for fedor its not all about the money, the people around him maybe but not him

  3. Banned2 says:

uh huh? doesn’t Fedor have alot to do with m1 global? doesn’t his management work for him? he probably stands to gain alot off m1 global piggy backing off the ufc. for you to say fedor is not all about money is retarded. do you know him? OK I don’t either but seeing is believing. what has he shown us? the same thing Randy did. its all about money. I hope he loses alot of fans respect for this. I hope he loses to his next opponent and the ufc signs whom ever that guy is.

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

saying Fedor is all about the money may very well be true but im not sure its fair to shine a negative light on it. it is Fedors job to fight and there is not very many people who do a job for anything less then a paycheck, Fedor has stated before that he does it for his family and from what i gather he still lives in a humble environment so its not like hes looking for his next million just so he can buy a white tiger and put an Olympic size pool in his back yard. its like me going to work everyday is for nothing more or less then a paycheck so i could feed my feed my kids, if i take a position for more money so i can finally buy groceries AND get my kids some bikes does that make me a bad guy? us (the fans) are paying Fedors wages but the only thing he really owes us is to get in the ring/cage and fight, and until he stops doing that OR we get bored of watching him do it, hes doing his job.

  4. MMAKansas says:

Fedor needs to go kick rocks. The UFC doesn’t really need him, without their platform where will he fight anyways.. all of the other orgs are DONE – the only person who loses is him, he will be a ghost in a year and literally is getting older every day, which means his stock is going down right now… he should take the money and give the UFC 6 quality fights.

If he doesn’t sign now, we will see “shadow of his former self” Fedor in 2 years getting half of what he was just offered and losing his debut sadly missing IT by half a step because of age and ring rust.

I am perfectly content to never watch Fedor fight again, so .. who cares…

  5. patrick says:

kansas why all the fedor hate dude….hes a great explosive fighter….. better than **** “i lay on ya” lesnar

  6. Banned2 says:

better than Lesnar? lay on ya? what are you talking about have you not seen his opponents faces? your an idiot! now Matt hughes thats all he does is lay and pray. but Brock? no! he’s an freak of an athlete and give him more time to learn and he would kill Fedor.

    • TheMallot says:

People want to keep saying “no way, hes better than lesnar” or they choose the other side and say “fedor is the best in the world”, but that is why these negotiations are so important. Fedor is going to do what Fedor is going to do… but Lesnar and other elite Heavyweights are already in the UFC and as part of their contracts can only fight in the UFC. I truly believe that if Fedor doesnt sign with the UFC he wont be forgotten, but i do believe that over time he will be remembered for what could have been, rather than being the best.

  7. bvrasp says:

UPDATE, M-1 is denying that the UFC offered them 30 mil or 5 mil per fight…

One thing is for sure, M-1 confirmed that the UFC did in fact agree to allow Fedor to compete in Sambo and to wear his M-1 shirt. So its nice to see the UFC is willing to bend a little to come to an agreement. M-1 was happy to see them being more reasonable, but lets face it, theyre basically saying your allowed to wear a t-shirt and do what you want in your off time lol.

So thats one obstacle that has been overcome, now the new one is a biggie, the co-promotion. M-1 is firm on that and they wont budge, UFC will NEVER agree to that (and i dont blame them). Strikeforce has co promoted with M-1 in the past and Coker recently stated that hes very excited about working with them in the future too.

The endgame here is that Strikeforce is getting Fedor, the question is whos he gonna fight against?? after he destroys brett Rogers i mean…

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

it sucks about the whole M-1 thing, it really seems like M-1 is looking to cash in on the fact that they got Fedor. they really dont have anything to offer aside from Fedor but that is just about enough to get most to go along with there program. M-1 has a show they do on HDNet like the Strikeforce challenger series level of show and they do a IFL sort of team vs. team thing, but THEY never put on a show with Fedor by them selves, its more like you pay the big guy and we’ll take the recognition by attaching our name to yours. M-1 as a promotion would be a complete unknown and we wouldnt even mention there name if they didnt have a grip on the king. im sure your right that Fedor will probably end up in Strikeforce and will walk through Rogers and Overeem, but im wondering if after that Dana will fight even harder or just give up, i guess that sort of depends on what happens in the UFC heavy weight division between now and then.

  8. Amir says:

If Dana and the UFC brass are so confident that Lesnar will destroy Fedor, they need to do whatever it takes to bring him in for one fight and one fight only under a co-promotion. How will this look like to all the other UFC fighters? who cares? because they are not Fedor, he is the one and only. If he loses, he’s gone, if he wins, time to re-negotiate a contract. If Fedor’s team is still
un-willing to sign a one-fight deal with the co-promotion, this will really show their true colors.

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

i dont think the UFC brass has confidence in Brock beating Fedor, and giving him a one fight deal is probably out of the question because if Fedor does beat Lesnar and then say no to a contract Dana will not be able to convince anyone that he has the best heavy weights.

  9. Me says:

It is disappointing to read some of the devastatingly negative comments being written about Fedor.Making a statement like ‘he isnt the best until he fights in the UFC’and what has he shown us just tells me there are some people outthere that have been brainwashed by the negative propaganda and loud mouths like Dana White. Fedor is a reputable fighter second to none as is Randy. These beasts have done so much for the sport and have elevated it to a platform of its own…Money is sweet but it doesn’t give you moral grounds some people have a love and passion for the sport and that is their drive as well as the people around them trainers, supporters etc.

    • R.J. St.Croix says:

i think some of these comments come from folks who refuse to learn any history on the sport. if you look back at what some of these guys have done, i mean really look back not just read there records you’ll have no choice but to respect them.

  10. MMAKansas says:

Eh.. I wouldn’t put too much stock into it – on the other hand I do feel that Fedor would have been wise to sign on with the UFC for 3 fights just to beat those guys and permanently shut up Dana.. in the minds of fans anyways.. his principles are great, but we haven’t seen him fight in the largest talent pool in MMA yet so it’s hard to say where he is at compared to say.. Randy Couture from 3 years ago – Brock Lesnar –

I do think Fedor would handle anyone of them personally.
