As was hinted at on his “UFC return” conference call, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz will face off against former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman this November at UFC 106.
Ortiz last fought in May of 2008 where he lost a unanimous decision fight against current light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
During the layoff, Ortiz had a form of spinal fusion surgery to repair an ailing back that, at least according to Ortiz, has affected his performance for a long time.
Mark Coleman most recently fought at UFC 100 where he defeated Stephan Bonnar by unanimous decision. The victory was Coleman’s first since February of 2006.
UFC 106 is currently scheduled for November 21 in Las Vegas, NV. No other fights have been rumored or confirmed for the event.
