OH NO! Karo has pulled out of UFC 106... Danas pissed bigtime, saying he will never fight in the UFC again. Aw man, sad news for our boy. I suggest you switch your wagers on the playground ASAP if your betting for or against Karo because that bet will be scratched. I had him on my parlay so ill be picking another fight.

LOL RJ, Coolio vs DMX could be a very exciting slap fight between 2 over the hill rappers. Coolio is 46 bro! lol. Imagine the reaction time of these 2 old burnouts. Its like Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong slugging it out over the last bowl haha.

Now if LL was fighting, that might be something a bit more interesting.

Thats true RJ, Tito always wears those big glasses, but he actually said he had swelling in his media day blog. From what i can tell its probably his right eye that got banged up and Forrest has a pretty good left hook. We will find out soon enough hehe

Doc, im about 50/50 with your picks, i like your undercard picks but dont like your main card picks.

Tito vs Forrest

Alot of factors here but to keep it brief, the old Tito was a wrestler with nasty GnP, this Tito has bad knees and a bad back, the 2 main tools for getting a takedown. If he cant get the takedown hes going to be in trouble in this fight. As i said in my earlier post, i think Tito is already cut going into this fight. alot of people have been saying Tito has vastly increased his striking these past 2 years. If he has good on him, but somehow i dont think he has, prove me wrong Tito! PLUS, hes got alot of ring rust.

Forrest is in a questionable mental state but i dont think that will affect him against Tito. I doubt he will throw too many leg kicks in this fight for fear of the takedown (Titos only chance at winning the fight). Hes got the reach advantage and the striking advantage unless Titos rumored improved striking turns out to be true (doubt it). I doubt Forrest will be able to stop Tito, hes a tough dude and he cant quit, especially being the first fight of his "comeback". I see Forrest getting the UD here by tagging him up and stuffing takedowns all night long.

As for the other fights, i wont go into detail..

Johnson (he looks ready to kill someone, sorry Kos)
Sadollah (Baronis been washed up for a while, i see a sub here)
Nog (experience, he can KO you or sub you, more ways to win)
Hazelett (I love Karo but gotta go with the hungry 23 year old kid, Karos like a 27 year old senior citizen)

Tito by unanimous decision.
Rumble TKO at some point in the fight.
Baroni KO round one.
lil Nog unanimous decision.
Hazelett submission at some point.

completely off topic, did you guys hear Coolio (the rapper from way back) is going to be replacing DMX (also a rapper) on the Alabama Pride MMA card? hopefully this sets up the Coolio/DMX superfight down the road LMAO.

couple things before i make my predictions, i always check out the video blogs and i noticed something in Titos Media day blog. He was wearing huge sunglasses and he said its because he has some swelling around one of his eyes. Obviously he doesnt want to show which eye so he doesnt give away which hand was landing on him too often. That plus he didnt show any of his training so we cant see how good/bad hes doing at takedowns these days.

I think he got cut and thats why hes trying to hide his eye, he was in attendance at WEC which was shown on Danas 106 blog part 2. Still wearing those big glasses in the dark, im thinking that any swelling would have gone down by then, thats why i think hes hiding a little cut.

Anthony Johnson was also on Danas 106 blog part 2 and he looked pretty good to me, Dana asked him about his weight and AJ said he was at 180. Somehow i doubt that considering his size but hes definately confident about this weight cut and his fight with Kos.

On another note, Aldo battered Brown at WEC 44 so guess what? now HES on the P4P list... sigh...

I agree with most of your picks doc. with the exception of Baroni. Not that Amir is that good its just that Baroni sucks. he loses more than he wins. and maybe Kendall I think he is do for a win so I may go with him.

Yea, I have to disagree with picking Kos. Johnson is a monster and has excellent takedown defense on top of being naturally much bigger. Even is Kos somehow manages a takedown, it will not stay there for long.

As far as the main even goes...I don't see how this fight has any intrigue whatsoever. I feel duped and cheated by Tito so many times already with his pre-fight talks and hype and never backing it up.
His style is boring and lame, his striking is weak. I have zero interest in this fight as a main event and IMO, anyone who actually pays $45 to watch it, is a sucker.

There is no reason Tito should have headlining status right now. He has done nothing in the sport for over 2 years now. Watching him fight is about as boring and infuriating as watching Couture, but at least that stinkfest was free!!!
