Word is now surfacing that UFC 110 this February in Australia may have a new headlining bout.

While it has been widely expected for a while now that Wanderlei Silva would make his UFC middleweight debut at UFC 110 against Yoshihiro Akiyama, it now appears things may have changed.

Silva is now expected to face Michael Bisping in the main event.

Bisping is coming off a victory over Denis Kang at UFC 105 after being brutally knocked out against Dan Henderson at UFC 100.

Silva is coming back-to-back losses against Quinton Jackson and Rich Franklin respectively. Silva has decided to make the move to the middleweight division after dropping five of his last six fights at 205 lbs.

If Silva and Bisping do fight, we may all finally get to see Michael Bisping shut up once and for all.

The UFC wants Bisping to win, they have invested so much into him… what could they possibly gain from him getting KO’ed brutally again? Do they really expect Wand to drop the decsion like he did to Franklin – Wand is not going to tink around in this fight he is going to go for the kill in round 1 like he did with Jardine, and so far, Bisping hasn’t shown that he can KO anyone… Kang went down and out of gas, he covered up and laid there until it was stopped, Bisping didn’t knock him silly –

Kang almost KO’ed Bisping in round one, you see how easy it was to lay the Brit down? He folded almost like Rashad did in his final drop in the Machida fight rolling backwards, good on him for surviving and recovering, that showed heart, but Wand has killer instinct and he hits as hard as our boy Henderson, so IMO – Wand is going to have three rounds to dispose of this guy, and he isn’t Leben, so I don’t expect Bisping to jab his way to victory. The Akiyama fight would have been more of a challenge, this is a give me to Wanderlei IMO.

I dunno Kansas, i think they initially wanted Bisping to win so they could win over the UK audience. Since his matchup with Hendo i think they decided he has to make it on his own steam thats why they gave him Kang. Now Wanderlei, they are really putting him to the test now, if he plans to stay at the top half of the division he needs to improve. By giving him tough fights they are forcing him to take his training to the next level, its sink or swim for Bisping these days.

Thats how it should be and i think he will be a better fighter and a better man for it. Since his loss to Hendo hes become more humble (not tons more, but a bit) and the tougher his opponents get, the more respect he needs to have for them if he intends to stay alive in the UFC.

About his fight with Wand, i really hope your right man, we all know Bispings gameplan by now and thats not the kind of guy i want Wand fighting. Someone who will run for 3 rounds sticking the jab to our boy, i would have liked to see Wand fight someone like Cote or maybe even Leben. Ofcourse those fights dont get you anywhere near a title shot, but Wand needs someone who will stand toe to toe and trade with him. After some vicious KO wins over those types of fighters hopefully the US fans will get to know the REAL Wand and become fans.

We all know records and win streaks dont get you title shots, its all about hype in the UFC. Losing fights against tough guys doesnt help your case either, your better off demolishing weaker guys and amassing some highlight reels for the UFC to play on countdown shows.

Im picking, betting on and praying for Wand to win this fight man! catch him Wand!! clinch him and put the hurt on him!

at this point in his career im starting to get used to the idea that Wand CAN lose the fight, but yeah i definitely dont wanna see him lose because he the other guy ran the entire time. i dont think that will be the case though, ether way Bisping is going to get hit because when Wand gets his hands on you its not to take you down its to smash you with knees. if Bisping runs he’ll get caught with something wild and if he clinches he gets kneed to death, Bisping is gonna have to try and take it to the ground…. good luck Mikey lol.

yeah baby, UFC 110 brought to you by Animal Planet lol. i think Joe Silva has been reading our messages, it was like two weeks ago we were saying we wanna see Wand vs. Bisping lol. i can see one of two outcomes in this one #1 Wanderlei turns Bisping into a bloody mush and the crowd cheers to no end, or #2 Bisping get booed relentlessly and make EVERYONE hate him for running like Kalib Starnes on Red Bull lol.

    Happy Thanksgiving! -
