Well, another fight season has come and gone for the MMA HQ Fight Camp at MMAPlayground.com.
The race for the championship in Season 6 was our closest race yet, as three competitors had a legitimate chance of taking the title going into the last event.
In the end, bvrasp was able to hold on and take home first place with a total of 529 points and an overall record of 73-34 (68%) for the ten-even season. The 529 points placed bvrasp #153 out of 8,595 total competitors on MMAPlayground.com. Another fun season. I didn’t get first, but third is not too bad. That’s to 3rd places and one first place for me. I completely bombed the last two seasons so it was nice to get back in the thick of it again. Congrats Bv on the win. It’s good to see that it stayed close till the end, basically came down to the last card. Thanks again Doc for the prizes and all the hard work you do on the site. Everything is awesome.
Thanks Maxx, ya it came right down to the wire again, lead switching every other event, very close season.
Id like to thank the UFC, Dana White, the Fertitas, lol naw, all thanks go to Dr. J and the MMAHQ crew.
Good luck next season guys!
Anybody else keep getting messages to join other teams?
maxx, ya lol
who is it? mr.mean?
so close!!!!!!
Richard, congrats on the Wagers, how did you manage to scrape together that much without making parlay bets??? dam, you would be killing it if you made parlay bets.
last season I got 3rd, this season I got 2nd, I call 1st next season. I like the choice of prizes rather than heres what you get, thats cool. I already have the undisputed 2009 game and I’m really looking forward to the new one in may. anyone catch the preview on vga’s?
Congrats on 2nd Banned, i had a similar situation, i came in 3rd, then 3nd, but last season i missed 2 events so that pretty much buried me. So this 1st place can count toward my last season flop :)
Sounds like your due next season, good luck, but were not gonna make it easy for you hehe
did you send me a message on MMAPlayground yet ?
I know last season I missed a event for some reason but still got third wish I wouldn’t have missed that 1 event probably would have got 1st. had first for a while this season but damn it BV you passed me up. lol
thanks, ya i saw the preview on the VGA, to be honest i didnt see much difference except for the fact that Kimbo is on the roster lol. I wonder if there will be an accurate representation of his stats, doubtful though….
I noticed the new game has head movement much like anderson silva does when he toys with people dodging their punches. you could slam up against cage when going for takedown it even showed the cage give a little. and I think you can throw haymaker punches now. but the graphics looked the same and kimbo was in it as well as jr dos santos. not sure if randy will be in this one. hope they improve career mode.
no doc I haven’t I’m currently at work I will when I get home. unless you still have my shipping info from last season. in that case I’ll take the Bj walk out shirt xxl
cool. just send me a message when you can. I’m not sure I still have your address and phone number, so it’d be better to just get it again from you.
Yo BV, congrats from Brooklyn, N.Y. man.
Thanks Amir, glad to see your able to login to the playground again, good luck next season man.
Oh boy, after reading a few articles today, it looks like were about to start having a whole lotta Shane Carwin/Frank Mir nuthugging going on.
Who has more respect for the other?
Who wants to have the honor of fighting the other more?
Who hates Brock Lesnar more?
I foresee them sharing one of those champagne glass jacuzzis in a wooded mountain lodge soon.
Amir, lol champagne glass jacuzzi
Time for those guys to throwdown, Carwins been waiting for a while, Mir shouldnt need more than 3 months to fight again, so im thinking around mid march they fight for the #1 contender spot.
I think Carwin takes Mir in 3 months he’s just strong, and a good striker – I think Mir takes Carwin in 6 due to Carwin having ring rust and Mir’s muscle density solidifying more as well as having the most recent competition and less ring rust.
Mir kinda has this douchey arrogance, and even when he ACT’S humble you can kinda tell that he’s REALLY trying HARD to act humble – lol – the point is, even though a lot of people hate him, and I have not been a fan of his in recent years, but his win against Congo, made me like him a LOT. I thought Congo came off and has always come off as an arrogant jerk – turning his back on Mir was the ultimate disrespect, even Brock and Frank have never come off that bad… so yeah him getting demolished by Mir 3.0 was nice.
“REALLY trying HARD to act humble” lol so true man. He doesnt outwardly say your a douche, but hell say something like… Kongo has the worst BJJ in the division lol. Its a true statement but the way he says it with a tilt of the head and a half smile, you can see the arrogance.
All that aside, i heard Mirs a good guy in person and some of it could be hyping up the fight, but hes definitly a proud guy.
Kongo was offended and his reactions seemed more genuine. Nobody can deny Franks skills tho, hes serious man. Maybe now people will stop talking about “the old frank mir”. We have a “new and improved Frank Mir”
Id love to see him fight Ubereem now.
Mir would put a stomping on Overeem – it would got to the ground within the first 75 seconds and it would be over within 30 seconds after it went down there.
I think the new roided up Mir will destroy Carwin. I still say Carwin is over hyped and has proven nothing. as for Mir Its not normal to put on that much muscle that fast without a little help like HGH. It would be funny if he wins the interim title then fails drug test. lol
There wasn’t enough definition in his muscle to claims roids or performance enhancers..
I think it’s premature to assume he is roided, he was actually calmer than usual, not enraged or hyped up which is typical for someone on the juice, other thing, he’s working out with Mark Philippi 5 days a week and has been since last summer. That along with 300 grams of protein per day with heavy workouts can put on that kind of muscle.
Before we assume every single person that makes some muscle gains is on roids, lets look at the fact, look at his body type vs someone like overeem who obviously has the chiseled roid type body, look at shawn sherk, he also displayed the roided body type.
Look at Mir, he just looks like the same Mir that fought last time, only heavier, same muscle definition, same demenor, if he was on HGH his testing levels of testosterone would be outrageous, there is nothing to flush and no way to lower those levels, so he’s not pumping growth hormones, if he’s doing roids, it’s not showing.
There are guys in this world that refuse to get off the cookies and cream diet they are addictively on…. and so every in shape dude in the gym and every athelete that performs above par.. IS ON ROIDS… in their eyes of course…
OK, all prizes have been shipped out.
If you can, please just let me know when they arrive so I can make sure you all got them successfully.
Kansas
1st off you can cycle yourself off the roids to avoid being caught with test. just ask Brock. 2nd look at Tim Sylvia’s body when he got caught for roids. they don’t just make you defined they make you stronger and bigger. maybe it depends on the type I’m not sure. but it is not normal for a man Mir’s age to gain that much size in that amount of time. unless it’s fat and it doesn’t look like fat to me. He will get caught only time will tell. as far as your other comment. I work in the pharmaceutical business we make stuff for animals that people are using on themselves I know what I’m talking about just a little bit.
I agree with your comment “just a LITTLE bit” – I know a lot.. there.
My brother owns Cage in the Valley – he hosts cage fights, and full contact K-1 type fights, has about 14 fighters in his stable, he knows more than you, or me, for sure, I don’t care that you work at Petco and serve up antibiotics for mice.. that really doesn’t convince me of your opinion… good luck with bottling Anal gland sac tumor relief medicines for horses though.
Hey Banned2 – little sensitive? Are you on the Rocky Road diet bud? Like to eat a little half gallon in the evenings? Run about 5 feet and collapse with fatigue?
lol…
Kans-***:
what are you babbling about? I work for Pfizer in the animal health division, have been for 13 years. just shut up, and wait. because your going to look pretty stupid if, and when Mir fails drug test. your just bored, and trying to bait me into an argument. well some of us have work to do.
Banned2 wow.. you took the state of Kansas and broke it into to sylables.. smart AND original right?
You just wait… and wait….. and keep waiting….. cause he wont come out positive. I am sure Pfizer tests out Neurontin on you since you meet ALL of the criteria for that drug, (including herpes and shingles).
Good luck being a test rabbit for them.. and with the whole herpes thing dude.. sorry about that.
So hey anyways.. Mir is au natural IMO and I believe he will come out and continue to dominate lesser fighters… I.E. anyone Banned2 is rooting for.
i thought i had shingles once, turns out i just have a bad dust allergy lol. anywho, i dont think Mir is roiding it up. its not like he has gotten huge over a short time, he is about the same size he just added some pounds. AND he added the weight over time (months) it not an over night thing, i would be surprised if Mir get popped for roids.
See Banned2 …. your wrong. See.
Horse viagra tester doesn’t make you an authority on performance enhancing drugs.. well.. maybe but not the kind we are discussing.. lolz
Kansas: I agree with your position on Mir, but you dont have to be a complete douche to someone who disagreed with your opinion and stated their own…
Lam.. yes with banned2 I did. Read every single thread, including the ones that aren’t on the right side of the screen before you pass judgement.
I have read this entire thread and my opinion remains the same.
I digress – your entitled to that opinion, but I disagree with you as well. -
I dont have any personal experience with any kind of roids but a buddy of mine used roids back in the dominican republic. Its pretty much over the counter there and he wasnt in any kind of competition so he didnt have to cycle it off.
So just in speculation, he had 5 months to put on that 25 pounds some people have said that its very possible to do that without roids, others say its impossible. Like if you have no muscle on your body and you start lifting you could put on that much weight easily, but Frank was already pretty big and thats when it gets harder.
So if it takes 3 months to cycle off the stuff, that means he put on 25 pounds in the 1st 2 months and the rest of the time he was cycling off? Somehow i doubt that Frank would do that at this point in his career. He could badly damage his rep and his standing in the UFC, maybe lose his title contention spot, big fines from the commission and a long suspension before he can get licensed. Its just not smart to save time on something he could have gotten without roids.
In my opinion, hes not on roids, but hey, we will find out soon enough probably around next week when the drug tests come back.
http://www.mmamania.com/2009/12/15/1201934/mma-quick-pic-diego-sanchez
YES!!!! YES!!!! YES!!!!
I don’t believe Mir is on any type of illegal substance. The guy may be arrogant and annoying to some, but at the end of the day, he is very smart and is a real professional/ambassador for the sport.
I don’t see how he or his coaches would ever allow him to risk such a scandal because it seems almost impossible getting by these commissions nowadays.
I too am still suspect of Carwin’s ground game only because we’ve never really seen him tested on the ground.
Was Mir’s performance really THAT impressive? I mean matching up a world-class grappler against the world’s worst grappler? I’ll jump on the bandwagon if he beats Cain/Carwin/Dos Santos NOT a Ben Rothwell or Stefan Struve (like we know Joe Silva is salivating at charging us).
I’m curious to see how Gilbert Yvel will do.
@DOC J
Doc, I noticed ummm somone close to you came in ahead of you in the wagers section… did you place her bets for her or did she do it herself?
why is everyone so wet for dos santos??????????watch the guy is getting koed by yvel for sure ANY BETS????????
Richard, hes like an up and comer with alot of potential, hes an undefeated kickboxer and a BJJ brown belt, very well rounded. Yvel is obviously more experienced and hes a tough guy but this is his first fight in the UFC. More often than not, guys dont have a good showing the first time out.
Dos Santos is going to be a tough test for Yvel man, i say Dos Santos wins that one, assuming Yvel doesnt get himself DQ’d.
I don’t know man, he’s pretty good… but I understand if you think he’s over hyped… I think he looks a bit stiff and less agile than some fighters in his division, that being said he’s well rounded and incredibly strong so people like that and the fact that he likes to strike is a big thing…. I think think Brock would ground him and smash him though….
I just saw some updated video info on Wand, he looks a lot slimmer. I think he’s actually gonna try to drop to 190 and cut down to 185… if so that sucks, he will get overpowered by everyone else there.. he needs to cut from 200 down to 185, heck cut from 205 to 185… I hope he brings in some other people into his camp besides the same guys he’s had… he needs some wrestling nutritionists to help him cut healthily before February comes, I was hoping he would have made a dry run already in November since he’s been out a while, looks like all my boy has been focused on is his web-reality show Fighters Life and signing new sponsors… dude needs to focus.. eesh..
Hey Doc,
My friend just joined mmaplayground and he wants to join our fight camp. Could you send him an invite, his name is JonnyOwe .
Thanks
sure
Thanks man
I’m very much the pessimist when it comes to mma fighters (or just about any athlete) using banned substances to get an edge. I just assume everyone in the sport does it. I honestly believe that 90% of the fighters in the octagon today are on some sort of HGH or Sterioid. I’m less likely to get disappointed that way.
I hope not.. that’s just pathetic if so .. but hey we are all human. I just see the differences in the body types when people use and when they don’t – if Mir for instance was on something, it would have to be a form of Human Growth Hormone, I don’t think it could be anything else, his build looks natural and bulky, and he carries a lot around the waist still.
i get that philosophy, athletes feel like if there NOT doing it then they might be the only one so… but i like to think that at very least most of these guys are too afraid to get caught so they just dont do it. i hope anyways lol.
Yeah I know what you mean, at least BJ isn’t doing it I don’t suspect.
Yeah I hope not either, and it’s a crappy attitude to have, but after Royce Gracie was busted, I just gave up, and assumed they all do it. The only difference being whether or they got caught, or they are using a substance that not yet detectable, or has just not made it on the banned list yet.
I see your point – thing is, just because Tiger Woods is sleeping with 18 women plus his High School girlfriend.. doesn’t mean that all celeb’s subcome to temptation and just do THAT.. if we allow ourselves to believe the worst about everyone, then we will have given up on the hope that there are honest people in the world that do things the RIGHT and legal way.
I believe BJ is all natural – he wouldn’t be bagging on Sherk so hard if it wasn’t so.. some people are so talented, they don’t need that junk to perform, they have genetics, flexibility, a high learning curve, and discipline.
I could totally see Gracie doing what he did, because he has a legacy to protect and at this point let’s face it, he’s old.

That’s the list I dug up of notable mma fighters who have tested positive for steroids. Thus proviug the point that there is no way you can “look” at someone and tell. All these guys are various shapes sizes and body mass. Some are ripped, others are flabby.
Maxx….
Notice, no BJ Penn, Georges St. Pierre, Chuck Liddell, Machida, Anderson Silva, Shogun, Wanderlei, either Nog brother, or Ortiz, or Couture, .. the list goes on and is TWICE AS LONG of guys who’ve never tested positive for ANYTHING in their LOOOOONG careers.
Anyone ever think that Shamrock WASN’T on roids?
Tim Sylvia obviously used to trim down, Vitor.. duhhhhhhh…. Kimo duhhhh again.. all of them LOOKED roided with the exception of Royce Gracie and maybe Stephan Bonnar.
I’m agreeing with you kansas. The logic follows your argument, not mine. I listed those guys to prove the point that you can’t just “look” at someone and say they are on or not on roids.
I see your point sir.
i thoght the wagers and picks were going to be averaged for a overall 1st 2nd 3rd???????
no, its strictly points only.
we changed that after season 4 actually ( http://www.mmahq.com/2008/12/29/mma-hq-fight-camp-season-4-results/ ), so for the past 2 seasons its been by points only
Doc the link you left is for an IFL article, i dont know if its something screwed up on my end or your but this is what im getting: http://www.mmahq.com/2008/01/08/ifl-announces-three-title-fights-for-february-29-event/
wow thats pretty weird.
try this one:
http://www.mmahq.com/2008/12/29/mma-hq-fight-camp-season-4-results/
yeah that one works.
oh you can see how Gracie didit but not Mir that makes perfect since. also you talk about body types and how you can tell who uses and who don’t. look at Royce! look at Tim Sylvia! look at Hermes franka! I’m simply saying IMO Mir put on size and muscle with HGH or something because its not normal he use to fight at 230 something then 250 something then back down to 240 something and when he was at his heaviest in the past he looked like a fat slob. not all of a sudden he’s 265 and added muscle. he also says he plans on putting on 15-20 more pounds. even if he passes his drug test I wont believe him its not normal especially at his age.
Keep blowing that hot air, the results came back, you said wait and see he’s gonna get popped, BV made the point that he wouldn’t have time to cycle on and off in time to put on that size with HGH, he’s right, I was right, you were wrong, we waited, we saw… live with it. You were wrong.
im not sure why you so adamant that Mir is taking roids, he has no history (that i know of) of taking banned substances and nothing is really calling that to question, aside from you. Mir has had a history of looking good and preforming well in one fight and looking bad and preforming bad in the next, so until i see that he has failed a drug test im gonna continue assuming this was just one of his good fights.
Logical..
so 5 months between fights isn’t enough to take HGH then cycle off? so Mir naturally gained 25 pounds of muscle in that time? who is your source that his test came back clean from 107? was he even tested? so next time he fights and he is over 265 and has to cut down to 265 I guess everyone will still be in denial?
five months is more then enough time to put on 25lbs. in that amount time you can also turn from flabby to cut with no help from any kind of drug. look at Mir before he fought Brock Last and look at him before he fought Kongo, there is not a big difference, certainly not the kind of difference that would make someone say “wow look at Mir, he must be taking roids”. Mir will be over 265lbs. and have to cut for his next fight (like he did in his last fight) and if he continues to do so i will not be shocked in the slightest.
Why don’t you address the fact that EVERYONE on this site disagreed with your take on the whole roid issue with Frank Mir? YOUR IN DENIAL BANNED2.
You can make considerable gains with modern supplements dude, it’s not like 1985 where we are using Weider weights and drinking raw eggs like Mr. T and Hulk Hogan… you need to get over your ASSUMPTIONS that are pure speculation – slandering hard training and disciplined atheletes is easy on a blog isn’t it?
So easy to sit there at your animal lube plant and talk about guys that train their butts off for a living.. you need to get your head right man.
Banned, im not a body building expert man, but did you see the countdown show to 107? Mirs been hitting the weights hard man, hes doing worlds strongest man type of stuff. Huge bars on his back, monster presses, dead lifts, carrying heavy weights and walking down the street, unconventional stuff.
Hes never done this kind of weight training before and when you drastically change the type of exercise thats when you get better results. Kind of like the P90X philosophy, Mir has never done stuff like that before and with the amount of work he put in, i dont think its “humanly impossible” for him to put on 25 pounds in 5 months.
Its tough ya, but he HAS been working his butt off, i cant say for a fact, but in my opinion hes not juicing. I just think hes rededicated himself to training after his loss to Brock. Kind of like how BJ did after his loss to GSP.
The only difference is that BJ is focusing on cardio (which he achieved without roids) and Frank is concentrating on size/power. Some people just have the genetics to put on bulk easier than others.
Were all just speculating here, but ya, thats my 2 cents.
it is very possible to put on 25lbs. in 5 months. depending on how you go about it you could put on even more then that, we are talking about a time span of almost a half a year its not like we are about a few weeks here.
@Banned
pointing fingers at people and calling then steroid users with no real argument aside from “he put on a bunch of weight real fast and looks like hes been working out a lot” is kinda lame dont ya think? im 99.999% sure that Brock has used roids before (well known fact pro-wrestling is crazy with roids) and im sure if he wanted to find a fool proof way of not getting caught so he could continue doing it he’d be able to. the thing is, till i read that Brock has been busted using roids i really have no right to accuse him of it. its like me saying “some of your logic is a bit out there so it appears to me that you are an LSD user. at this point it doesnt matter what anyone says, i got you figured out… and anyone who doesnt believe me is crazy!… how could anyone read his posts and not think this guy is high on acid?” sound like a viable argument right? it is your prospective (and seemingly yours alone) and thats fine, but dont get too worked up if people dont share your view and dont be shocked if your wrong.
brock was busted for HGH in Louisville KY back when he wrestled for Ohio valley wrestling. charges didn’t stick because back then HGH wasn’t illegal. that being said brock has never failed a test. ok so if Mir passes test that won’t change my opinion. obviously brock isn’t natural. and for a grown man to gain 25pounds of mass in 5 months like Mir isn’t natural. you guys that say it’s possible need to do your research ask around get out of your moms basement and go to the gym and ask people there. I’m allowed to have my own opinion just like your allowed to be in the dark.
#1 i dont live in my Moms basement, she wont allow my wife, six kids, and me to live down there…. sucks because it would be cheap rent and my Mom is a great cook.
#2 ive done my research in and out of the gym, im not new to the whole combat sport thing.
#3 your right its not natural for a grown man to gain 25lbs. of mass over 5 months, it is also not natural to pump you self full of supplements and work your *** off in the gym like someone has a gun to your head.
#4 no one said you cant have an opinion, is it ok if i have one too? just because mine differs from your doesnt mean mines wrong, seeing as your opinion is based on pure speculation.
@RJ – you mean your not a filthy loser? Wow.. I guess in banned2′s book everyone on this site is living in mom’s basement, except him of course, he works for Pfizer so he’s riiiiiiich.
lol.
You guys hear that Zuffa had to ban another brand “Hoelzer Reich” for offensive, Nazi related imagery?
That’s interesting, it made front page here in the U.S. for my Canadian friends.
it’s ok banned is just trying to fill our troll void. How we miss’em. You get attached to them after awhile.
I’m not totally convinced the banning of Holzer Reich was totally justifiable . I find their design be completely unorginal and tacky, but not really racist. If HR is racist then so is every custom cycle shop on the planet. Either way I don’t care. No named brand with mediocre designs that just got buried before they really even got started…*yawn*
…sorry feeling mean today
… I kinda agree there Maxx.. you make a decent point on the designs… anyways, the PC police have won the day, on to other news.
So we got Strikeforce and WEC both on tomorrow night, Zuffa is counter programming as usual. Ill be watching Strikeforce, anyone else?
im probably gonna watch both (kinda) i’ll have to find a stream for Strikeforce, but it just so happens i get TSN HD as a free preview this months so i’ll be watching the WEC card on the TV and the Strikefoce card on the laptop lol.
im kinda hyped up about Le vs. Smith, this is the perfect match for Cung Le to put on a show. Le’s strikes + Smith’s chin and lack of defense should be fun to watch lol.
Ya that should be fun, how bout Melendez vs Thompson? thats gonna be a burner. I dont see it playing out the same way as last time, i think Melendez takes the decision.
WAR CUNG LE
wooooooo!!!!!! how bout that event??? Epic man! epic!
yessir! Melendez vs. Thompson was a banger, and all i can say about the main event is “how do you spell Scott Smith? H E A R T!” did King Mo look good or what? Jacare looked sharp on his feet tonight, its gonna make him a dangerous fighter if he can hang in the striking with his slick ground game to fall back on. i didnt get to see the WEC show (apparently TSN doesnt show it anymore) but on the bright side i figured out tonight that i have SHO HD (i didnt even think it was available here lol) so i got to see the Strikeforce in beautiful high def instead on some crappy stream, and man im glad it turned out the way it did.
p.s. kudos on predicting Melendez by decision, i thought for sure Thompson was gonna set the pace again and grind him out but Melendez showed how much hes grown as a fighter since there last meeting.
yup, King Mo did what he always does, knock guys out in the 1st round. I dont even know what to think about the rubber match between Melendez and Thompson, no words, just slack jawed anticipation. Smith, wow! hes got more combacks than Saku!! hehe well maybe not, but hes getting there. Whenever you have a guy with power and a nutty chin it always makes for great fights. Im glad Jacare took care of Lindland, i dunno why, i just dont like Matt.
P.S. theyre showing WEC replay on sopcast, some nice fights, no decisions, only KOs and Subs. Horodecki turned his back and tried to run but he got caught with a headkick, that confused me, nice kick tho.
i seen the clip of Chris getting his head kicked off, man its a bummer to see one of the homies go down like that. its sort of good i didnt watch the fight because my son Kota would have probably cried his lil eyes out, he really looks up to Horodecki.
yeah, that head kick was nice. I don’t know why Chris was running with his back like that, but I seem to remember him doing that once or twice in the past as a way to “bait” his opponent. Njoukani took the bait, thats for sure.
he was trying to get to his feet after a scramble but Njoukani stayed on him so he was just trying to make some space, turning around and running was obviously the wrong way to got about that lol. kudos to Njoukani for the brutal highlight reel KO, he seen the opportunity and ended the fight fast.
Sorry to see Whitehead get KO’ed like that… seriously, if your gonna fight dropping your right hand like that, I don’t care who you are your gonna get KO’ed – I think WAND is a great fighter, but he needs to bring in coaches because he alone can’t coach these guys.. Whitehead did the same thing Wand did with Page.. drop the right hand, and then what? You get KO’ed… that’s what.. IMO Wand is sloppier than he used to be and needs to get back in the gym with guys that are on his level, training with guys that are below par, will always make you below par, and Whitehead, need to get his conditioning in check and join ATT where they will help him utilize his wrestling skills even more.
yeah i thought it was cool when Wand was training a bit at Xtream Couture, i think fighters need to move around camps all the time for a few reasons.
#1 you get to learn new stuff, any Jits coach can teach you how to do a triangle but they all do it a bit different so you still learn something new doing the same old stuff.
#2 your more likely to have someone notice a hole in your game and help you fix it if you working with new people all the time.
#3 it would be less likely to have fighters refuse to fight each other because of “camp loyalty”
one other thing is if you get all kinds of top fighters moving around and working together off and on it would surely bump everyones game up a bit.
I was wondering what your reaction to Whitehead’s loss would be considering he made a point to point out the Wand Fight Club logo on his banner before the fight :)
I agree about Wand, like if you have Hughes as your coach, he can teach you how to be like him show you some tricks and wrestling tips. Wand cant teach you to be Wand, its that intangible special something that made Wand great.
As for Whitehead, hes a good fighter but he will never be a great fighter. Joining ATT to help your wrestling is always a good idea, but when your with Miletich forever and your not using your wrestling effectively by this point, you probably never will.
what a night of fights, smith needs to learn to circle, melendez thompson what a fight man all around great night.i didnt catch WEC cuz direct tv doesnt carry it but im going to look it up today.
