Shark Fights 13 is coming up, and here is a teaser trailer for the promotion’s latest live MMA event:
Casual fans perceive the UFC as the face of mixed martial arts, even though there are numerous smaller organizations fighting for survival. Strikeforce and Bellator are lesser known U.S. organizations that appeal to more hardcore MMA fans, with Shark Fights 13 catering to an even smaller number of users.
The full card features the following fights:
Main Card:
Keith Jardine (15-8-1) vs. Trevor Prangley (22-6-1)
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (9-6) vs. Houston Alexander (10-6)
Paul Daley (24-9-2) vs. Jorge Masvidal (20-5)
Danillo Villefort (11-3) vs. Joey Villasenor (27-7)
Brock Larson (28-4) vs. Tarec Saffiedine (9-2)
Preliminary Card:
Ronnie Mann (17-2-1) vs. Doug Evans (10-6) (featherweight title fight)
Paul Bradley (12-2) vs. Johnny Rees (12-2)
Aaron Rosa (14-3) vs. Devin Cole (14-7-1)
Daniel Straus (12-3) vs. Karen Darabedyan (9-3)
Pete Spratt (21-17) vs. Eric Davila (17-10)
Fighters such as Sokoudjou, Alexander and Jardine saw action in the UFC, but suffered losses and were all shown the door. Impressive victories in smaller shows such as Shark Fights can help propel a fighter back to the UFC again — or help younger professional earn their first shot in the No. 1 MMA organization.
Hopefully each fighter comes out and is prepared to fight like a job in a larger organization is on the line.
Shark Fights 13 will be live on Saturday, September 11 (available on PPV for $29.99).

Love Brock Larson.
