We recently reviewed poet and ammy MMA fighter Cameron Conaway’s book, Caged: Memoirs of a Cage-Fighting Poet. It is heartfelt and fierce. The book is now available on Amazon for only $13.07.
The book, unfortunately, is only available on Amazon and not in bookstores since Tuttle Publishing placated to lawsuit threats by his stepmother and pulled Conaway’s contract. He wrote about childhood memories of his father as he struggled to find male role models growing up and turned to fighting and poetry to fill the void. Luckily, Conaway has more courage than his dream publisher did and is fighting past attempts to silence (read: bully) him. Below is a video in which he attempts to reach out to his father.
