The final episode of The Ultimate Fighter’s 14th season took place last night, and I have to admit that it was a bit depressing to watch John “Snitch” Dodson knock out Johnny Bedford. Boo. And then to watch Diego Brandao knock out Bryan Caraway. Double boo.
Not much else took place during the episode. Mayhem Miller tried to dissuade Caraway from his obsessive tendencies pre-fight, and Diego talked to angels. Meanwhile, there was a big party in the house for everyone else, with Mayhem riding his bicycle into the pool. It looked fun.
Anyway, now that the last episode is out of the way, we know who’ll be fighting in the season finale. We’ve got T.J. Dillashaw squaring off against John Dodson. Although Dodson is explosive and quick and has heavy hands, I don’t think he’ll be able to contend with Dillashaw’s wrestling or overall toughness and well-roundedness. I’m calling Dillashaw by 2nd round stoppage.
And then there’s Diego Brandao vs. Dennis Bermudez, a very tough fight to call. I’m going to go against the hype– I believe Bermudez has the edge and will win by razor-thin decision.
Then we’ve got Mayhem squaring off against Bisping. As much as I’d love Mayhem to win (and I would), I don’t think he’s faced the same caliber of opponents as Bisping has… Hoping for Mayhem but have to call Bisping. :(
Other fights taking place on the same card include Tony Ferguson vs. Yves Edwards, Louis Gaudinot vs. Johnny Bedford, Marcus Brimage vs. Stephen Bass, Dustin Pague vs. John Albert, Roland Delorme vs. Josh Ferguson, Steven Siler vs. Josh Clopton and Bryan Caraway vs. Dustin Neace. Who ya got?
