This Friday saw Cage Warriors commence their 125 ladies tournament with an opening bout between German destroyer Shiela Gaff and Chute Boxe product Jennifer Maia at Fight Night 4 from Dubai.
The bout ended in very quick fashion as Gaff streamrolled her opponent but much has been made of the start regarding some confusion over a glove touch.
There have been several similar situations over the years but, going entirely by the letter of the law, both fighters are under instruction to protect themselves from the second that the referee signals the start of the bout.
The reality of the situation remains though, the winner of Aisling Daly and Rosi Sexton will need to construct a water tight battle plan to avoid the onslaught of the German Tank.

You should only shake hands AFTER the fight
You can never be lax in the cage, ALWAYS protect yourself and dont expect your opponent to just touch gloves… sometimes people just come to bang, we’ll all be sportsmanlike before and after but a fight is a fight
