The very first episode of Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is now in the books, and despite some bad subtitles (hint: mate leone is a rear naked choke, not a “neck crank), many great fights took place.
But seriously. The subtitles were really bad. “It was a very balanced fight.” You mean even? *Sigh.* The good news was, as I mentioned, the high quality of fights. The tone was very serious, almost somber, and very respectful. Who knows if this will change and people will start whizzing on each other’s pillows.
Anyway, here’s the results and who made it in the house:
Rony Mariano defeated Dileno Lopes via 1st round TKO.
Francisco Drinaldo defeats Charles Maicon via 1st round TKO.
Godofredo “Pepey” de Oliveira defeats Johnny Gonvalves via 1st round submission (triangle choke).
Cezar Ferreira defeats Gustavo Sampaio via 2nd round submission (guillotine).
Hugo “Wolverine” Viana defeats Alexander Ramos via 1st round TKO.
Daniel Sarafian defeats Richardson Moreira via decision.
Rodrigo Damm defeats Fabricio Guerrero via 2nd round submission (rear naked choke).
Wagner “Galeto” Campos defeats Fernando Guerra by decision
Sergio Moraes defeats Thiago Rela by 1st round submission (heel hook).
Anistavio Medeiros defeats Rafael Bueno by decision.
Thiago “Bodao” Perpetuo defeats Joao Paulo “Tuba” De Souza by decision.
John “Macapa” Teixeira defeats Giovanni “Soldado” Souza Jr. via 1st round submission (armbar).
Delson Heleno defeats Gilberto Galvao by decision.
Renee Forte defeats Fabio “Bolinho” Luiz Vital Cruz by decision.
Marcos “Vina” Vinicius Pancini defeats Peter Noble via 1st round TKO.
Leonardo Mafra Teixeira defeats Samuel Trindade by decision.
Next episode, coaches Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva will presumably pick teams.
