Cage Warriors Fighting Championships have continued to expand their ever burgeoning roster with the addition of UFC veteran and former TUF star Jesse Taylor (20-8 MMA).
Taylor was released from the UFC back in 2008 after losing to C.B. Dollaway at Ultimate Fight Night 14 but since then, has stockpiled an impressive 14-5 record competing all over the world for MFC, Strikeforce, KSW and Dream.
The powerhouse wrestler has taken out Chris Camozzi, Tom Watson, Murilo Bustamante, Drew Fickett and Denis Kang and has campaigned both at welterweight and middleweight.
I’m very pleased to be signed with Cage Warriors. This is what I do; travel the world, perfecting my craft and collecting belts. It’s all part of my journey to the top and I couldn’t have asked for a better show. – Jesse Taylor
Taylor’s debut fight will indeed give him the opportunity to collect another belt as he fights current welterweight champion Gael Grimaud (14-5) at Cage Warriors Fight Night 6 on May 3rd from Bahrain. Frenchman Grimaud took home the belt back in September last year as he stopped Arni Isaksson at Cage Warriors Fight Night 2 with an impressive second round TKO.
The card will be distributed through a variety of media platforms such as ESPN, Fight Network and Sky Sports around the world as well as streamed live on MMAJunkie.com.
