53 year old man takes fight on one hour’s notice and wins in suitably dramatic fashion

If I pitched you that headline as a film concept you’d laugh me out of the building.

Fire Extreme Championship at the Kankakee Fair Grounds was looking for a late, and it doesn’t get much later than this, replacement to fight when 53 year old fan Tim Karaker volunteered his services. The portly spectator then proceeded to put on an incredible display before laying down the hammer and duly being congratulated by Stephan Bonnar.

I’ll be in touch when I come up with a sequel but I’d like to think it’d involve Carl Weathers and Rodney Dangerfield.
