As was expected, it was announced today that Dream Stage Entertainment as sold the Pride Fighting Championships to Zuffa, LLC. Well, it appears that after over a week of “speculating” and “rumors,”the final official words and announcement of the sale of Pride Fighting Championships to Lorenzo and Frank Fertita will come tomorrow in Tokyo, Japan.

I’m only posting this because I’m sure most of you have either heard or seen this report on other sites by now. There are reports circulating that the Fertita brothers (Frank and Lorenzo who also own Zuffa, LLC) have purchased PrideFC from Dream Stage Entertainment for a reported $65 million dollars.

Former UFC Heavyweight fighter Jeff Monson revealed yesterday on his personal website blog that he will be fighting Kazuyuki Fujita this March in PrideFC. Monson was originally supposed to fight Roman Zentzov this April in BodogFIGHT, but apparently that fight is now off and Monson will be fighting in Pride.

As much as I hate to give the following news, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has revealed that Nick Diaz tested positive for a banned substance following Pride 33: The Second Coming last month. Diaz did not test positive for sterioids or diuretics, but rather marijuana.
