Well, UFC 63 is in the books and overall I thought the event was excellent. We now have an undeniable Welterweight champion and a valid number one contender waiting to rematch him in Georges St. Pierre. I’m going to take a minute and recap a few fights and their highlights.

Once again, another UFC Pay-Per-View event is upon us. This saturday night UFC 63: Hughes vs. Penn II will take place, and the fight card is looking like one of the best the UFC has had in quite a while. Only one fighter has had to pull out of the card so far, [...]

The full fight card for UFC 63 has been released. This lineup is, of course, tentative; and considering the recent rash of fighters pulling out close to UFC events, I expect this card to change somewhat. For now, here is the current lineup:

It’s now official, Georges St. Pierre has pulled out of his rematch vs UFC Welterweight champion Matt Hughes at UFC 63 on September 23. In St. Pierre’s place, B.J. Penn will have his own rematch against Matt Hughes, whom he defeated for the belt in 2004.

Reports are surfacing that the Middleweight Title fight between Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre scheduled for UFC 63 may be postponed.
