    Is this the same thai cup that Joe Rogan was going on about during a live UFC event?

    No. The thai steel cup is completely separate from this. This is the compression cup he talks about.

    Romel, yes this is the cup. Joe might also talk about the Thai steel cup, but he regularly has fits of wild enthusiasm about Diamond MMA cups.

    A steel thai cup works as good or better than this for half the price and is much easier to keep clean if you train multiple times per week. If you don't like how thai cups lace up just put the steel cup in a regular hockey style jock short and voila.

    This better be worth the money, anyone used this system for BJJ? I've been racked one to many times in class. Don't mind spending money on a good product if it lasts and stays in place.

    @sugarfoot:

    I actually took the plunge and bought one of these a while back. I only do BJJ. I was really hoping this wouldn't be a waste of money, and it honestly is the best investment I've made. As long as you get the right size, this is perfect for gi/no-gi. Somebody tried to knee-cut pass me and went straight into my 'nads instead... and I felt nothing, just some pressure from the bump, but no stomach-turning pain, or feeling like throwing up... just kept on rolling! One thing I'll say is that at first it used to dig into the crevice in the groin area, but after a week or so I got used to it. I don't do striking or anything of that sort, so I can't comment about that. For BJJ, this is the best cup out there.
