The RZ Mask is a conditioning mask you place over your mouth and nose to decrease the amount of O2 your lungs receive.$18
Have to disagree with you on that one Mack. At no point do they claim it simulates altitude training, what it does is force your body to work harder to fully inflate the diaphragm because you are pulling oxygenated air through a filter. Anyone who trains hard knows how important a full breath is and this can help teach the body to breath more deeply if used properly creating the effect they claim, higher O2 saturation when not using it. As far as the metal side, training the mind to not recognize exhaustion do to oxygen deprivation is a fantastic tool in 5 round fights or 4 division tournaments. Ignoring mental training a sure way to limit your success in competition.
23 bucks to try it out cant really go wrong
They tell elite athletes to live high and train low so that their body can have better adaptions to training. So even if it did simulate high altitude to gain the usefulness you would have to use it all day long except for when you are training... I agree with mack good for mental training, not physical training.
*compete low* and a strict training regimen while wearing this is much more beneficial than without.
i'd get one but i'm afraid ill get the wrong size i walk around 160-170 but i'm only 5'7 but my neck size is 17 in dress shirts
Does this mask allow you to only breathe in through your nose and out your mouth; or breathe in with both?
It lets you breath in through both, while laying down it kind of pinches off the nostrils.
Any more scramble hannya value tudo shorts coming soon?
These and every other "O2" or "altitude" training mask device are completely bogus and have been debunked exhaustively. Train smart.
What's your personal experience with a mask?
I've used the original training mask and the training mask 2.0, they are great mental training tools, nothing more. They don't decrease the amount of O2 or the proportion of O2 reaching the lungs and do not simulate altitude or "oxygen deficiency" training at all. I'd be fine with the products if they were marketed differently.
