I think u wasted money by spending that much on Headgear... I also think the talk of Winning gear all the time is annoying... there are plenty of top brands out there 2 be used besides Winning Rival has awesome gear... title ringside boon fairtex etc. About the Chin cushioning I'd say u protect ur nose because even with headgear u get hit on ur chin good ur gona be dazed.... I personally do NOT like headgear at ALL because to me it causes more injuries because it messes up your peripheral vision which can make u catch hooks or kicks 2 the head

Imo keeping ur hands up is always the best opition. No gear out there will protect u 100%.
Winnings is the best money can buy. Ill agree with that. Protecting ur head is priceless. Usually ppl that can't afford winnings gear seem to think its over rated. Go with it u won't be dissapointed.

what about rival's new d3o head gear i have their d3o bag gloves and they are killer at only 10 oz!

the d3o doesn't hv the chin protect as well, i don't think the d3o is necessary in amateur training tho. I was using a no name brand last night w/ nice padding, it was more than enough for 2 hard hooks that landed pretty well on my left and i didn't feel anything.

I think headgear should be wore at all time if you're not fighting on HBO or any tv network.(even pros train in them) i would say 99.9% of us fall into that category. We were having a "light" sparring session two and a half months ago at my gym, i got hooked a couple of times on my left (right hooks by a ranked boxer in a local league), my jaw and ear (right) are still experiencing some very very nasty pain, on medication since.

if manny pacman and GSP train w/ gears on, then what makes you think that we don't need to. (i agree that it will affect your peripheral vision and might makes your body take punishments too lightly, but it's still betta than surgeries and lifelong bugging injuries)

Most people that say Winnings are overrated are NOT people that can't afford them idk how ur saying that 2:11am when I have a pair of their gloves along with Cleto Reyes and Reevo i'm just saying example Ali wore Everlast head gear Sugar Ray Leonard wore everlast and boxers take more punches 2 the head then Kick boxing. At 2:18am U can say GSP wears this Manny wears that but they wear headgear to prevent cuts not because they get punched 2 HARD. I've seen a ton of MMA fighters not wear headgear while sparring Anderson Silva (only saw him wear headgear at Wildcard gym) Cowboy Cerrone Jon Jones Rashad list goes on and on... I personally have never wore headgear while sparring i've went about 4-5 years and still going still training without headgear during sparring never had to get surgeries or have anytype of bugging injuries on my head from being hit. Everyone is different u may need the headgear more then someone else but I know I HATE headgear

Protect your own damn chin instead of expecting head gear to do it.

You guys just need to condition your chins the same way you condition your shins and fists. That way you can take a punch better. That's what one of my training partners (my brother) told me. It sucks, cuz you just gotta stand there and get punched in the face. Especially because it takes so much longer to condition a jaw than other parts of your body. But my bro says that in a few months, I won't even feel it. I can't wait. Hope this helps.

Hey all these guys wanna get WINNING gear cuz it's what the pros use. I don't hear any of you telling them to go pay full price for those! Well maybe some us just want to get these shirts at a discounted rate to also support MP (which fighters do).

I'm really tired of hearing about WINNING gear because plenty of fighters tht have become champions without using that gear it's not the gear it's the person... Most people don't tell them 2 pay full price for 2 reasons first you really can't get them anywhere besides the main site so it's obvious you have to pay full price 2nd you're comparing a piece of equipment that cost over 300 dollars to a 25-30 maybe less then that shirt.
