When Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championships, purchased the WEC earlier this year, it was announced that a cable television deal had been signed with the Versus network. It appears now that the first WEC events will start appearing on the Versus network starting with a WEC Live even on June 3.
The June 3 card in Las Vegas will be headlined by a Welterweight title fight between current WEC champion Carlos Condit and UFC veteran Brock Larson. Condit won the WEC Welterweight title with a victory by submission over John Alessio back at WEC 26. Also on the June 3 card, WEC Featherweight champion Urijah Faber will once again defend his title against Chance Farrar.
Other fights include a rematch between John Alessio and Alex Serdyukov, Micah Miller vs. Cub Swanson, and UFC veteran Mark Hominick will make his WEC debut against Rani Yahira.

richard, well he WAS great! no doubt about that, he was a product of the Takada dojo and they had a feud with the Gracies about 10 years ago. He not only defeated, but punished the gracie fighters who were undefeated at the time, royce, royler, renzo, rickson, you name it he beat down most of the gracie family!

Silva beat Sakuraba down hard, repeatedly, and I personally think its another one of those situations where fighters get “ruined” from too many sharp blows to the head. Much like crocops highkicks, the knees are just as effective at ending fighters carreers. Sakuraba was like prides posterboy and he fought in almost every pride event which caused him ALOT of serious injuries over the years. Its like they sucked him out for everything they could get, but still he was treated like a king.
After that they did a similar thing with Silva, they used him as the posterboy and had him fighting very often which caused him to get knocked out more than a few times which has affected his game too.
Its a tough job to be a fighter man! I have all the respect in the world for both Sakuraba and Silva, theyre legends.
