    From TiralbyfireMMA:
If you're a rounded fighter looking to further develop your takedown game then these gloves are THE ideal option. Don't think of it as a boxing glove, nor a fat MMA glove, but a hybrid fight glove conceptualized after decades of combat experience. The glove is big. The glove is bulky. But when it comes to combing striking and takedowns, the old addage rings true: safety first. Padded knuckles add a mean look to the glove whilst also ensuring safety for your opponent --and your knuckles. For the first few weeks I broke these gloves in HARD against the bag and my hands felt fine the hours after --not something I can say about my Hayabusa MMA gloves, which caused cuts and bleeding, nor can my teammates say about various MMA gloves that caused wrist problems. The hammerfist padding is a design we've only seen from Steve Shepherd's own fight gear lineup, and the man continually seeks out new designs to improve a fighters game while keeping the fighter safe. The weight gained by adding the gel inserts into the back of the wrist may feel awkward at first, but that sense of displacement is quickly lost when training against an opponent. Additionally, I'm able to make a full grip while my hands are housed in the gloves: this means grabbing wrists while working street-self-defense, barring the back of the legs when working takedowns, and the back of necks when working clinch. I've had multiple team mates try these gloves on and test them, and they all agree: they're bulky, but they WORK, and they let YOU do work while training. This glove is all functionality, and no gimmick. The hammer-fist padding, the extra knuckle padding, the ability to grab your opponent --I recommend these gloves to anyone looking to safely combine striking, clinch, and takedowns.

I don't have the cash to spare for them today, but I really hope these come back somewhere down the road. They definitely seem like they would do my hands/wrists a fair deal better than the gloves I've used over the years, and the hammer-fist padding looks particularly cool as well.
