There are weighted vest that don't cone with weights. U pack them with penny rolls etc. Or there are some with pockets for 5 or 10 lb plates. Not much exposure so maybe they would be up for this sorta discounted platform to advertise and boost sales like Project Discipline did with their gloves.. Just a suggestion.

the penny rolls are just optional.. you can still use some plates or lead bars which you can get from some sporting goods stores for making lures and fishing weights.

Not tryna be a asshole but these gloves got to GO i don't even think most people use bag gloves

Should be using bag gloves for bag work in most cases... usually bag gloves are much more compacted to protect your hand. Gloves are designed to protect your hands... not protect a bag or a sparring partner's face.

Thanks for the explanation there champ. I Would have never understood why someone would use bag gloves to punch a bag........... Training gloves are multipurpose and they work fine for bag work and sparing so why pay for 2 things that do the same job.But I guess that doesn't make sense to you.

I understand they work fine for the purpose, it's just an assumed risk. You know that if you use a training glove (most are technically sparring gloves) than you take on an increased risk of injury or wear and tear on the glove and yourself. The padding on a bag glove is in different locations. But they are minor differences, like the ones between a thai & boxing glove or velcro & lacing for gloves. Not a deal breaker at all.

^^OP here I personally have been using sparring gloves 18ozers not even 16oz for about 5 1/2 yrs of KB/Boxing training/sparring and bagwork mitt work and my hands have been fine the only time I ever hurt my hand/wrist was when I was learning in the beginning on how to punch properly. So I have to disagree training gloves can be used for anything efficiently.

man screw your hands. the purpose of using the proper gloves is dual purpose. #1 to protect your hands better, not to metion the gloves last longer, but more importantly #2 is to protect your partners face. the more compact foam of bag gloves and worn down training gloves can cause more damage and are a higher risk of causing cuts. when i do medium or hard sparring (as opposed to light glove drills) i make sure to wear the proper gloves out of respect for my partners safety. i expect that they do the same.

if you can't spend $100 to $150 (less if you're a smart buyer) to buy 2 pairs of quality gloves, one bag and one training, to use for an activity that everyone claims to be so passionate about then gtfooh. for you to say that people don't care about their training partners only highlights some of the piss poor attitudes so many people that train martial arts today have. especially those that jumped on the mma bandwagon.

bag gloves offer more padding for knuckles but no wrist support what so ever. Cheaply made. I prefer sparring gloves or good thai gloves for bag. but then you need another pair for sparring otherwise the padding shifts/wears away and you cant use them for sparring. i wrap hands when sparring but hate doing it for bag, yes it does prevent risk of injury but same time you hand/ligaments become weak when always supported. boxed outta gleasons in BK and the guys even when hitting bags would get full tape casts every workout session, then wonder why they break their hands/hyper extend wrists all the time. too much support actually weakens your supporting muscles/ligaments and bones.

and im all for the 7oz mma training gloves. same blocking affect as 4oz but less risk of busting your sparring partners nose/face open if shot gets thru. no need for in-house gym injuries...thats just ignorant. In gym training is team/family your there to support each other not injure each other so you cant fight/compete. newbs

I'm with 433 on this. People at my gym laughed at me because I went out and spent a ton of money on quality equipment because I didn't want to hurt others when I trane. I bought Hayabusa striking pads, Fighting gear head gear, CSI 18oz gloves etc. Most of them have old, worn out, crappy, thin gloves and pads. Then they wonder why I opted for the full face head gear....

most guys in the big gyms dont even use 18 or 16 oz when sparring... should but dont. lot using 14oz and some 12oz. 18oz is def overboard unless your heavyweight.

the 16-20oz are for sparring (protect your partner).... Typically the 10-14oz are for bag work... I got the sparring CSI gloves last week, these are bag gloves which are completely different and it's actually a pretty good deal, $5 more for the "Gel" version.

You must be talking about the 18oz CSI sparring gloves...I picked up 2 pair of those, they're pretty sweet...practically a steal for 34$. Nonetheless these are a still a good deal if you missed out on the grant campeon bag gloves 2 weeks ago. I got all the gloves I need tho...lets see some white gi's.

I love them, and the CSI sparring thai gloves are easier than any glove i've ever used before as far as clinch work. The thumb is higher up and I feel I can do clinch sparring with the big gloves on.
