I just started doing boxing/kickboxing, and Muay Thai. Would these gloves be viable for all of these?

I purchased these the last time they were up. So far they live up the their reputation! Very solid 16oz glove. They feel great on the heavy bag and have nice pop on Thai pads as well as the focus mitts. I've also started sparring with them, their compact size make me hold my hands in a better defensive position and they can slip into your opponents guard easier than other 16oz gloves. I say grab them while you still can!

Are the 12oz 14 oz and 16 oz for progressively bigger hands or just more padding?

16oz is for sparring, 14 oz are for retards and 12oz is for bag/pad work or you can just use 16oz for everything.

    Look bro,
12 ounce is mostly for bag work or hitting mitts. 12 ounce gloves are a luxury in a way cause most gyms won't let you spar hard with 12 ounce gloves, which means you'll need a pair of 14 ounce gloves, the most common size for sparring. But if you are a big guy, let's say above 180 you'll probably want to spar with 16 ounce gloves because your punches will have more weight behind them. But if you want workout gloves, I would probably recommend 16 ounce because they are the heaviest and will work out your arms more.

if your sparring get 16 oz. Only spar with 14 oz if your a girl or your like 120 pounds or less. Most common size for sparring is 16 oz. a lot of places wont let you spar with anything else.
