They are look BGV1s - intended to be used for both sparring and bag/pad work.
since they're 16oz you can use them for both. I prefer a smaller glove for bag work though, more like a 10 or 12oz.

It wasn't so obvious last night when the description listed them as lace-up's and wouldn't have been the first time they had posted a picture of gloves with laces that were actually hook and loop strap.

Nah, probably not. They're not up on the R2C site and I'm pretty sure I've never seen 'em there, either. I'm thinking these may be making their debut here on MMAHQ, much like the headgear that was up a couple days ago.
