Nah bro. Bag gloves don't really have enough padding for sparring. They provide just enough support so you don't sprain your wrist or break your hand while doing bag work, but that's it. Because after all, hitting the heavy bag is about conditioning your hands and wrists for impact as well as developing power in your strikes. But when you spar, you should really wear gloves that are specifically for sparring. They provide extra padding and support for your hands and wrists. Because while sparring, you might hit someone's elbow, hip, or the top of their head. All of these are much harder surfaces than a bag. You could seriously injure yourself. Also, the human body has more angles than a bag. So it's easier to fold your wrist. Not only that, but the extra padding is for your sparring partner's safety too. After all that conditioning on the bag, your knuckles feel like concrete against your partner's body. That's no fun. So in short, use bag gloves just for bags. Some people will say that it depends on how much you weigh. Not true. Manny Pacquiao weighs nothing, but if he hit you with bag gloves, he'd break your jaw. And that's all I have to say about that.

Wrong. These actually have the same amount of padding as sparring gloves, 16 ounces. The padding is just denser or for you chemistry people, a higher packing efficiency. Nice try on trying to sound like you have a clue. And if you really wanted to give an educated answer, the plastic hook on the glove would be the real reason you shouldn't spar with these.
