Any thai style boxing gloves On the agenda in the future?
I bought these last time they had them up to use as backup gloves. I figured they were so cheap, might as well give them a shot...to be honest the ONLY thing I don't like about them is the plastic buckle. I don't even know why they have a buckle...one of the VERY few gloves that I have seen to use a buckle. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and construction of these gloves! Well worth the $30! I would put them on par with most gloves around the $50
does anyone know about the quality of these gloves? do these provide good padding on the knuckles for heavy bag/mitt work??
These gloves are just for that. Thick, heavy padding over the knuckles and good quality leather. I would not suggest these for sparring as the padding is thick but not forgiving to the person on the receiving end of the punch. The plastic/buckle-loop is for better wrist support when strapping the gloves on. Again, for mitts and bags this glove was meant for, not sparring. I have a pair and a few of my fighters do as well. Great buy for the money!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually did a little research and bought them a little after I made the post. I actually have a pair of Windys that I use for heavy bag/mitt work and Ringside IMF sparring gloves. Both sets of gloves are awesome, so i'm hoping that these gloves can hold up as well!
